Qatar: Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association holds iftar get-together

Doha, August 4: Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association, Doha, Qatar organised their annual Ifthar get-together for the community members at Mazza Restaurant, recently.

Around 250 members along with their families attended the programme.

Ifthiqab Alam opened the programme at 5:30pm inviting Hasif Ismail Sharief to recite the verses from holy Quran followed by inviting the president of KMCA Saeed Ahmed Assadi to open the programme.

Saeed Assadi, gave report of KMCA activities and the future plans and urged members to render their full support for the upcoming events.

As part of creating platform for other organisation of Karnataka to introduce their activities in Qatar and back home, the president invited the representatives from these Organisation’s to present their report and appeal to the audience.

Following representatives spoke on behalf of their organisations. Mohsin Sikandar (Treasurer) – Kundapur Taluk Welfare Association, Ibraiz Khan/ Javed Sharief (President-Qatar) Maymar Charitable Trust Bangalore, Ayyub (Head of Qatar) – Hidayah Foundation Charitable Organisation.

After the above presentation, the president invited Maulana Irshadullah to give lecture on Islamic values and significance of month of Ramadan and importance of Reading Quran.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Quiz Questioners circulated to all the members to answer and towards the end the winners were recognised after the lecture.

Group supplication was made prior to Ifthar break at 6:20pm. The dinner was served after the Prayers and the program concluded at 8:00pm.

Around 165 men, 70 women and around 30 children attended the programme. The children were given gifts as token of appreciation by the KMCA Organising Committee.

Seetharam Shetty, President, Tulu Koota Qatar, Mr. V. Mannangi, President, Karnataka Sangha, Kareem Abdulla, President, ICBF, Community Activist M. Iqbal Manna, and several prominent community members attended the programme.

The senior members of KMCA appreciated the efforts of president Saeed Assadi for conducting the event successfully with such large number by the members and their families. Many new members enrolled during this event which is the real success as per the president Ahmed Saeed Assadi.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.

Dubai: Karnataka Sports & Cultural Club (KSCC) distributed Eid Kit across the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah to the ) needy people on Eid al Fitr.

KSCC President Mr. Mohammed Ismail Said: “Eid is a Symbol of Gratitude and Unity. As the last few weeks have been hard for each one of us, we wanted to stand in solidarity to celebrate Eid, by helping labours and needy people. He also said that “We are together to be part of UAE. Serving these meals is our core social responsibility."

KSCC recently conducted humanitarian services during COVID-19 pandemic in 2 phases and conducted Blood Donation Drive. They have also planned to conduct next Blood Donation Drive on 25th May, 2020.

The KSCC main objective is to develop the expatriate community into a well-nourished section of society in the areas of social, sports and cultural activities.

On behalf of KSCC, and the entire executive council Mr. Mohammed Ismail, President of Club, extended a very heartly thanks and gratitude to the Main sponsor of the event M/s. EMSQUARE, Engineering Consultant, and Tawakkal Overseas Dubai.

Dubai: A blood donation drive was conducted by Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) at in Al Wasl Club Stadium here on Friday, 26th June 2020.

The drive started around 1:00 pm and continued till 4:00 pm as per schedule provided by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Blood Donation Centre and 60 people donated blood to support the Blood Bank. The drive was well organised by maintaining social distance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As blood cannot be produced but only can be donated, this drive will help many patients in need of blood during emergencies. Donors were also feeling proud and happy at this moment thinking of saving someone’s life.

DHA Blood Donation Centre staff carried out the screening and testing done in very well manner keeping social distancing during this pandemic. Volunteers of KSCC were also helping the staff to keep people in safe distance and to make this drive a success.

KSCC Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi and other office bearers were present at the event venue. KSCC thanked the volunteers, Community Development of Authority (CDA), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Blood Donation Centre, Government of Dubai and Al Wasl Club Stadium for making the event successful.
