Dubai: J P Hegde, M R Vasudeva to attend 'Karnataka Rajyotsava 2012'

Dubai, October 30: Karnataka Sangha Dubai, which has completed 27 years affiliated under ICWC, will be hosting this year’s edition of 'Karnataka Rajyotsava 2012' led by new and young executive committee members, under the baton of dynamic president Girish Shetty on November 9 at The Indian Academy School, Qusais, behind Madina Mall, here.

Rajyotsava celebration will be an entertaining event full of comedy, dance and ballet dance. Dashavatara by famous troupe of Bangalore with a team of 13 members led by Ramesh Kolar of Pushpanjali Natya Kala Academy, cultural programmes by local artistes and dance by winners of Purvankara Dance competition 2012, entertaining acts by special guest Arun Sagar from Bangalore, a well-known mimicry artiste will be the highlights.

 

Challenging star Darshan of Sandalwood and Miss Karnataka 2011 Madhuri will be the star attractions of the event.

 

Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency MP Jayaprakash Hegde, and Mangalore Airport director M R Vasudeva will be the guests.

 

On behalf of UAE Kannadigas, president Girish Shetty has requested all association chiefs to come forward and be part of the Rajyotsava programme and present a memento to Jayaprakash Hegde in recognition and appreciation of his efforts in getting the international status to Mangalore Airport.

 

General secretary Daya Kirodian has requested all the winners and runners-up of Purvanakara Dance competition 2012 to be present to collect their cash prize.

 

Entry is free to all Kannadigas.

 

Karnataka Sangha Dubai, is a socio-cultural, non-political and non-relegious organization founded in the year 1985 by Kannadigas in Dubai to promote Karnataka's rich and diverse heritage and culture, art and literature. One of the main objectives of the Sangha is to serve the Kannadigas here, bring all Kannadigas under one roof to share their common cultural ties and create unity under a common platform. The aim of Sangha is to provide assistance to the needy Kannadigas here in the Emirate, provide forum for amateur talent, and invite professional artists from India, to encourage sports and games and to represent Karnataka in various programmes held in the Emirates.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.

Kuwait: The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed the whole world into a difficult situation and the situation of Indians in Kuwait is not any different. Many people have lost their jobs, have no salary, are deprived of food and are not able to pay rent. The appalling conditions of labourers, domestic workers, taxi drivers and low waged earners don’t seem to end in Kuwait. 

At this trying situation when many people were even afraid of leaving their houses because of coronavirus, Suresh S. Rao Neramballi, volunteer of the Food Kit Distribution at the ICSG (Indian Community Support Group) has helped many tremendously. He was ready to go around delivering food kits at any time possible by his car. However, after Kuwait imposed a full curfew from 11th May 2020, no one could take out their vehicles unless they had a curfew pass. 

This did not stop Mr. Suresh Neramballi, who then borrowed a bicycle from a friend and ended up going around in the cycle delivering the food kits in curfew break time (4:30pm to 6:30pm) to all those who registered in the ICSG website. This selfless service surely commands appreciation and applause. Mr. Suresh Neramballi has been a light for many families and bachelors in Kuwait and will surely garner the blessings of them who have been able to eat at this time.

He was also the one who could deliver the food kits to many Indian Muslim maids, bachelors, laborers and families previous day and right on the day of EID, as they were not able to go shopping for their groceries for EID, due to the curfew. They blessed him in EID dua. 

Mr. Suresh Neramballi hails from Mangaluru, India and is an Engineer in the Oil sector company in Kuwait. He has been dedicated to social service, achieved 'Aryabhata International Award' for his Kannada Service and Social service, served in many Associations and Distributor of Kannada and Tulu Movies in Kuwait. He wholeheartedly thanks the people and government of Kuwait for his bread and butter.

God bless you brother and keep you healthy plus happy always.   You will be in the prayers of those who receivec your timely regardles they are hindu or muslim or christian.   This is a slap on the face of hate mongers who are always trying to divide the socieity in the name of religion.    Such people are burden to this world and society.   We should clean our society from such dirt and bad people.   Well done brother.  May God bless you.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.
