Make use of amnesty, expatriates told

Dubai, Jan 8: Emirates India Fraternity Forum organised a programme to create awareness among expatriates regarding the amnesty being offered by the UAE government.  A large number of expatriate workers took part in the programme organized under the slogan ‘Be Loyal to UAE; Make Use of Amnesty’ at Karama Dubai.

Nasir Hussain, President of Emirates India Fraternity Forum in his welcome address conveyed his sincere thanks to rulers of UAE, for providing amnesty scheme as a golden opportunity to the expatriates who are overstaying in UAE ,  either to regularise their visa status or leave the country by out pass. He appealed the gathering to campaign about the Amnesty Scheme and to assist the people to leave to their home country.  Pamphlets in different languages highlighting the importance of Amnesty and its procedures, was distributed on this occasion.

On the same occasion a grand reception was given to Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) Karnataka State General Secretary Abdulla Hannan.

Speaking as a chief guest Mr Hannan touched upon the political situation in India, specially minorities.

He said even after 65 years of Independence, the ruling parties in India have utilised minorities as their vote bank and done nothing for the uplift of the community. Many a times the government has appointed different commissions to look after the situations of minorities community such as Sachar Commission, Ranganath Mishra commission etc, But till date they have not yet implemented any of the suggestions of these commissions.

He envisioned that SDPI will work towards the progress of all Muslims, Christians and Dalits in future. “Seeing current situation of Muslims, the Government should implement the commission report. May all the people understand the ground reality that is enough for social change with explanation,” he said.

Guest of the programme Maulana Ibrahim Sahib Gangolli praised the various social welfare schemes conducted by EIFF and prayed The Almighty Allah to grant them the strength and energy to conduct many more such schemes for the benefit of people. He also stressed to guide everybody for good deeds and prevent the bad things may Allah guide all of us to right path of life.

The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Badruddin Hentar. Ershad Udupi recited Quran in the beginning.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.
