IFF’s ‘Pravaadi Sandesha 2013’ month long campaign gets underway

Madina, Jan 23: As part of the India Fraternity Forum’s month long western Province wide ‘Pravadi Sandesha’ programme in Saudi Arabia, an inauguration ceremony was held in the holy city of Madina on Thursday, January 17.

Event was presided over by Moidin Haleyangadi, General Secretary, I.F.F Karnataka chapter, Jeddah. He said that the show off is not the way to express our love towards Prophet Muhammad. “We should follow the teachings of Prophet,” he said.

He also reminded the audience that Prophet had changed Muslim community as model community in social, financial, political and education sector in just 23 years.

Chief guest Husain Madani said that the guidance of the final Prophet is the best way to get rid of current problems such as poverty, inequality, financial crisis etc.

Noufal Idya, member of IFF Madina (Karnataka) Division, Asif Marakada President, IFF Madina (Karnataka) unit, Ibrahim Parliya also present.

As part of the campaign, IFF will be organizing similar programmes in different parts of western Province viz Taif, Abha, Yanbu, Tabuk, Makkah, Jeddah during the course of one month.

Doha: Selvam aged 46 son of Subramanian hailing from Panakulam Village, Alangudi, Pudukkottai District in Tamilnadu province who worked as a technician, died in Qatar on April 24.

Due to challenging situation prevailing in both India & Qatar for body repatriation services, especially in Covid-19 atmosphere, Family is unable to progress further for past 2 months. At his stage Family of the deceased met Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), Pudukkottai office bearers and requested to intervene and help out, and also agreed to bury the body in Qatar itself.

Hence, SDPI delegates communicated with well-known Indian Expatriate welfare Organization - Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF). QISF General Secretary Basheer Ahamed, Secretary Abdullatheef Madikeri and team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation within a short period of time and arranged for a peaceful burial of Mr. Selvam in Dukhan cemetery.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.
