DISA holds a seminar on ‘hubburrasool’

Al-Jubail, Feb 14: The Jubail unit of ‘Darul Irshad Saudi Arabia’ (DISA), a promotion committee of DarulIrshad Educational Centre Mani, organised a seminar on ‘Hubburrasool’ to spread the message of Prophet Muhammad.

The programme was held at the luxury Cookxon Auditorium in Jubail. The programme began with ‘Dua’ by Usthad Noorudeen Malhari, the chief ‘Daee’ of Islamic Cultural Forum (ICF) and Risala Study Circle (RSC).

Aboobakkar Misbahi, the receiver of DISA Jubail Unit, recited Qur’an for the occasion. Ibrahim Khader gave a brief introduction of Educational and ‘Dawah’ programmes carried out by Darul Irshad Education Centre Mani and explained how the promotion committee of this institution in Jubail doing a wonderful job. He lauded the efforts of Shaik Balikunje, the President of the Unit and every member of the unit. He also welcomed the gathering.

Four speakers were invited to speak on the topic. Usthad Haneed Sa’adi of Imam Navavi Madrasa spoke at length about the respect and glory conferred on the Prophet in Qur’an and exhorted the audience to inculcate love for prophet Sallalahu Alaihiwasallam by following ‘Sunnah’ of prophet in letter and spirit. The key note speaker of the day was Usthad Noorudeen Malhari of Islamic Cultural Forum and Risala Study Circle. He spoke on a subject ‘How to practice prophet’s message in everyday life’. He enumerated some of the simple ‘Sunnah’ of the Prophet which could be easily practiced in our day to day life and thereby we get chance to live up to expectation of Prophet.

Kamarudeen spoke on the importance of inculcating ‘Islamic character’ in everything we do in modern world, so that it could introduce the best face of Islam to people around us. Another speaker, Usthad Usman Misbahi spoke on a subject ‘The way of following the Prophet in the light of Qur’an and Hadith’. He implored the audience to practice daily prayers sincerely and advised the young generation no to miss their ‘Fajr’ prayers by unnecessarily keeping themselves awake till late nights especially on weekends.

Ibrahim Khader compered the program and Anwar Hussain, the honorary president of Darul Irshad Saudi thanked everybody in the end. A sumptuous dinner was served in the end.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.

Kuwait: The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed the whole world into a difficult situation and the situation of Indians in Kuwait is not any different. Many people have lost their jobs, have no salary, are deprived of food and are not able to pay rent. The appalling conditions of labourers, domestic workers, taxi drivers and low waged earners don’t seem to end in Kuwait. 

At this trying situation when many people were even afraid of leaving their houses because of coronavirus, Suresh S. Rao Neramballi, volunteer of the Food Kit Distribution at the ICSG (Indian Community Support Group) has helped many tremendously. He was ready to go around delivering food kits at any time possible by his car. However, after Kuwait imposed a full curfew from 11th May 2020, no one could take out their vehicles unless they had a curfew pass. 

This did not stop Mr. Suresh Neramballi, who then borrowed a bicycle from a friend and ended up going around in the cycle delivering the food kits in curfew break time (4:30pm to 6:30pm) to all those who registered in the ICSG website. This selfless service surely commands appreciation and applause. Mr. Suresh Neramballi has been a light for many families and bachelors in Kuwait and will surely garner the blessings of them who have been able to eat at this time.

He was also the one who could deliver the food kits to many Indian Muslim maids, bachelors, laborers and families previous day and right on the day of EID, as they were not able to go shopping for their groceries for EID, due to the curfew. They blessed him in EID dua. 

Mr. Suresh Neramballi hails from Mangaluru, India and is an Engineer in the Oil sector company in Kuwait. He has been dedicated to social service, achieved 'Aryabhata International Award' for his Kannada Service and Social service, served in many Associations and Distributor of Kannada and Tulu Movies in Kuwait. He wholeheartedly thanks the people and government of Kuwait for his bread and butter.

God bless you brother and keep you healthy plus happy always.   You will be in the prayers of those who receivec your timely regardles they are hindu or muslim or christian.   This is a slap on the face of hate mongers who are always trying to divide the socieity in the name of religion.    Such people are burden to this world and society.   We should clean our society from such dirt and bad people.   Well done brother.  May God bless you.
