IFF Western Province’s ‘Pravaadi Sandesha 2013’ campaign concludes in Jeddah

Jeddah, Feb 21: Guidance of Prophet Muhammad is sufficient to resolve the issues like poverty, insecurity, fear and to build the new society with equal rights and justice in the modern world, said Masood Adnadi, President, IFF, Western Province, Saudi Arabia.

He was delivering speech on at the valedictory programme of IFF’s month long campaign ‘Pravadi Sandesha 2013’ held at ‘Impala Compound’ in Sharafiyah, Jeddah.

Sajid Mohammed, President, IFF, Karnataka chapter, Jeddah, presented a brief summary about IFF activity in Gulf countries in his presidential address.

"It is the responsibility of each and every Muslim to protest the conspiracy against Islam” said Mukthar Ahmed Jamia while inaugurating the event.

Faizal Dhamda, of SimCity, Abdul Manaf, Marketing Manager, Shifa Policlinic Sharafiyah, Jeddah, Al Amaan, IFF president, Tamil Nadu Chapter, Jeddah, Habibullah, IFF Coordinator, North Indian State, Jeddah, Moidin Haleyngadi, Member, IFF Central Committee, Jeddah, Kabeer Kondotti, IFF Kerala chapter, Jeddah, were present on Dias.

The programme commenced with the recitation of holy Qur’an by Master Muneer.Mustafa Punacha, Member, IFF Karnataka chapter, Jeddah, welcomed.

Cultural programmes

Different cultural programmes for different age groups were held on the occasion. Silent quiz, lucky person of the programme, early birds, Qirath, Islamic song and Islamic Naath competition made event even more vibrant.

Audience enjoyed being part of an amazing programme for couple ‘IFF Adarsha Dampathi 2013’. Mr and Mrs. Faizl Dhamda couple awarded as “IFF Adarsha Dampati 2013”.

Feroz Jeddah, Member IFF Western Province, Sajid Valavoor, Secretary, IFF North Indian State, Yanbu and Basheer Maindala, Member, IFF Karnataka Chapter, Tabuk jointly conducted the programme.

Arish Goodinabali, Member, IFF western Province, delivered the vote of thanks. Mudassar Akkarangadi coordinated the programmes across the Western Province.

Dubai: A blood donation drive was conducted by Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) at in Al Wasl Club Stadium here on Friday, 26th June 2020.

The drive started around 1:00 pm and continued till 4:00 pm as per schedule provided by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Blood Donation Centre and 60 people donated blood to support the Blood Bank. The drive was well organised by maintaining social distance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As blood cannot be produced but only can be donated, this drive will help many patients in need of blood during emergencies. Donors were also feeling proud and happy at this moment thinking of saving someone’s life.

DHA Blood Donation Centre staff carried out the screening and testing done in very well manner keeping social distancing during this pandemic. Volunteers of KSCC were also helping the staff to keep people in safe distance and to make this drive a success.

KSCC Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi and other office bearers were present at the event venue. KSCC thanked the volunteers, Community Development of Authority (CDA), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Blood Donation Centre, Government of Dubai and Al Wasl Club Stadium for making the event successful.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.

Kuwait: Friday Forum Kuwait conducted its 12th inter-school Islamic Elocution Competition at Hotel Rajadhani Palace, Khaitan on 1st January 2020. 

The competition, which was held in the senior and junior categories had participation from 15 Indian Schools across Kuwait comprising of 43 students. In the senior category, Ayisha Wafiya of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Efrem Joseph of Indian Community School, Amman won the second prize. 

In the junior category, Hima Jameela of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Fadhel Kandapath of Fahaheel Al Wataniya Indian School won the second prize. Nawaal Yaseen Ebrahim of Indian Community School (SR), Salmiya and Rhruthunanda of Indian Learners Own Academy, Abbasiya won the consolation prizes in senior and junior categories respectively.

This year, the event was fully conducted by the ladies wing of Friday Forum. Dr. Thasneem Amir, Ibtisam Basheer, Toast Masters Ola Rasheed, Fatma Abduhedeid, Shazia Thabassum and Marium Rangat were the judges for the competition in senior and junior categories. The event started with the Qira’at by Saneera Riyas, followed by welcome speech by Dr. Sajna Mohammed. 

The prizes were distributed to winners by Shahina Mansoor, Femitha Faseeh, Dr.Thasneem Amir, Dr. Sajna Mohammed, Zeenath Yacoub, Safna Sayam and Saneera Riyas. The Souvenir for the program - “INSPERIA 2020”- was released during the event by the chief editor Farha Abdul Rahman. The program was compered by Thanveera Noushad and the program convenor Subeana Shabeer conveyed the vote of thanks.
