Direct flight: JF Jeddah hands over feasibility report to CD

Jeddah, Mar 13: Jeddah unit of Jamiyyatul Falah, handed over a feasibility study report on direct flight to Riyadh and Jeddah from Mangalore prepared by JF Jeddah Unit to the Chairperson of Coastaldigest.com, Mohammed Asif, who is also chief conveyor on Mangalore – Saudi Arabia Direct Flight Campaign.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion, JF founder member Mohammed Iqbal Yusuf appreciated Mr Asif’s dedication towards the direct flight campaign and assured him to extend all possible support from JF in this regard.

Mr Yusuf highlighted that the requirement of the direct flight from Saudi Arabia to Mangalore is of prime priority. He recalled the attempts of JF in this regard and said that the organization had submitted several memorandum to Government of India through Indian Consulate General in Jeddah.

Mr Asif emphasizes that it was the time to do something better for motherland and the people living there.

“In this scenario, the direct flight campaign from Saudi Arabia to Mangalore has been taken up as the prime task and the campaign will be sustained till it bears results,” Mr Asif said.

He informed that Udupi-Chikmagalur Mp Jayaprakash Hegde will be one among the dignitaries who will be arriving at Dammam in the maiden Air India Express flight , scheduled to fly on April 3, 2013.

“Mr Hedge will be felicitated on April 4 at Jubail for his support in making the Mangalore-Dammam flight connectivity a reality,” he said and thanked Habeeb Rahaman, conveyor of JF Jeddah Unit for his keen support.

Mr Asif also promised to hand over the report submiited by JF to the Union Aviation Ministry and seek approval for the direct flights from Jeddah and Riyadh to Mangalore.

The programme was started by the recitation of Holy Quran verses by JF Jeddah Unit secretary Shaikh Saoud.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.

Kuwait: Friday Forum Kuwait conducted its 12th inter-school Islamic Elocution Competition at Hotel Rajadhani Palace, Khaitan on 1st January 2020. 

The competition, which was held in the senior and junior categories had participation from 15 Indian Schools across Kuwait comprising of 43 students. In the senior category, Ayisha Wafiya of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Efrem Joseph of Indian Community School, Amman won the second prize. 

In the junior category, Hima Jameela of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Fadhel Kandapath of Fahaheel Al Wataniya Indian School won the second prize. Nawaal Yaseen Ebrahim of Indian Community School (SR), Salmiya and Rhruthunanda of Indian Learners Own Academy, Abbasiya won the consolation prizes in senior and junior categories respectively.

This year, the event was fully conducted by the ladies wing of Friday Forum. Dr. Thasneem Amir, Ibtisam Basheer, Toast Masters Ola Rasheed, Fatma Abduhedeid, Shazia Thabassum and Marium Rangat were the judges for the competition in senior and junior categories. The event started with the Qira’at by Saneera Riyas, followed by welcome speech by Dr. Sajna Mohammed. 

The prizes were distributed to winners by Shahina Mansoor, Femitha Faseeh, Dr.Thasneem Amir, Dr. Sajna Mohammed, Zeenath Yacoub, Safna Sayam and Saneera Riyas. The Souvenir for the program - “INSPERIA 2020”- was released during the event by the chief editor Farha Abdul Rahman. The program was compered by Thanveera Noushad and the program convenor Subeana Shabeer conveyed the vote of thanks.
