CD Gala to mark landing of Mangalore-Dammam maiden flight: REGISTER your participation here

Jubail: Elected representatives of Coastal Karnataka along with other dignitaries will join the Coastaldiget.com Gala scheduled to be held on April 4 to mark the landing of direct flight from Mangalore in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Udupi-Chikmagalur MP K Jayaprakash Hegde and Mangalore MLA U T Khader will fly into the Kingdom onboard the maiden Mangalore-Dammam flight to participate in the gala at Al-Razi beach camp in industrial city of Al-Jubail.

The duo will respond to the queries of Non-resident Kannadigas in Jubail at ‘Meet your MP and MLA’ from 3:00p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Participants can explain their problems to the representatives.

As part of Coastaldigest.com gala, out-door games for the public will be held from 3:00p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the same venue.

The stage prgramme is expected to commence at 7:00 p.m., wherein Air India Express officials in Dammam would participate along with Mr Hegde and Mr Khader.

Coastaldigest.com welcomes representatives of all coastal Karnataka based organizations in the Kingdom for this programme.

Special arrangements will be made for ladies and children, along with food and fun games.

On the following day, i.e. on April 5 separate programmes will be held in Riyadh at 1:00 p.m. and in Jeddah at 7:00 p.m. in association with local units of Jamiyyatul Falah.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.

Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee, Saudi Arabia organized Republic Day program at AlRyan Policlinic Restaurant Auditorium, Dammam on 25th January 2020.

Abdul Waris, Former Chairman of Indian International School Dammam Inaugurated the program.

Wasim Rabbani, president of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee Presided over the program.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.
