Dammam: K M Kabir elected as BAMY President

Dammam, Jun 2: Badria Association of Muslim Youth Krishnapura(BAMY) Dammam unit its 25th general body meeting on Friday after Juma prayer on May 31 at Al-Khayam restaurant, Dammam. K M Kabeer was elected as the President of the organization during the meet.

All the members of Krishnapura Jama’th residing at Dammam participated in the general body meeting of the BAMY Krishnapura Dammam branch.

The programme started with the recitation of verses of the Quran by Ibrahim Baikampady.

Imtiyaz Krishnapura welcomed the gathering, and M H Moidin Haji, presented a detailed report on the past charity activities and experiences of BAMY Krishnapura Dammam branch.

General Secreteray, Ibrahim Baikampady, compered the programme and informed the gathering about BAMY’s regular meetings, educational, charity and religious activities in the society.

Joint Secretary Basheer presented the annual balance sheet on the occasion. Chief guest, Abdul Khader Thodar, speaking about the importance of charity said that charity must not be gauged in terms of quantity or the reputation of the organization with whom the giver has been associated with.

“Charity should not be done to show the world our capabilities. Instead it must be done with sole aim of gaining more rewards from Al Mighty Allah,” he said.

A new committee to steer BAMY Krishnapura Dammam branch was elected on the occasion. K M Kabeer was elected as the President of the organization.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Doha: Selvam aged 46 son of Subramanian hailing from Panakulam Village, Alangudi, Pudukkottai District in Tamilnadu province who worked as a technician, died in Qatar on April 24.

Due to challenging situation prevailing in both India & Qatar for body repatriation services, especially in Covid-19 atmosphere, Family is unable to progress further for past 2 months. At his stage Family of the deceased met Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), Pudukkottai office bearers and requested to intervene and help out, and also agreed to bury the body in Qatar itself.

Hence, SDPI delegates communicated with well-known Indian Expatriate welfare Organization - Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF). QISF General Secretary Basheer Ahamed, Secretary Abdullatheef Madikeri and team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation within a short period of time and arranged for a peaceful burial of Mr. Selvam in Dukhan cemetery.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.
