Toastmasters term concluding ceremony held

Al-Jubail, Jul  6: Area 63, Dvision E, District 79 members conducted their final meeting at the residence of Toast Masters Area Governor Shameer Ahmed Kudroli, on June 30.

The area 63 club presidents TM Asif Siddiqui, TM Suresh Thanneru, TM Khaled Al Mutairi attended the meeting along with area office-bearers, which was presided over by TM Shameer.

A sense of jubilation prevailed in the meeting as Area 63 bagged the coveted ‘Distinguished Area’ recognition. This is the only area in both the Division E and L of Jubail fraternity that could charter a new club in the term under the dynamic leadership of Governor Shameer at Jubail Industrial College (JIC).

Delivering his message in the concluding meeting, the Area governor thanked his team and said ‘your support and encouragement has been the fuel for me to strive harder and as it is often said, “hard work never goes unrewarded!! And with all your support we succeeded to charter only a new club in this term in Jubail Industrial College (JIC) TM Club as it was my dream to offer the toastmasters benefit to the students as they are the future leaders of the community or country.

He further added: ‘It is indeed worth mentioning that our efforts have definitely made a significant contribution towards achieving the goal of Division ‘E’ as President’s Distinguished Division.  Area 63 has 5 clubs under its belt. They are Global TM Club, Royal Commission TM Club, Bechtel TM Club, GAS TM Club and newly inducted Jubail Industrial College Toastmaster Club.”

Subsequently, certificate of recognition were awarded to  honor the executive committee.

DTM Basker Patel, Area 17 governor (2012-13) praised the effort and contributions of Area 63 for toastmasters’ fraternity in particular and community in general. TM Aziz Siddiqui, the Governor elect, emphasized the need to take the vibrant area 63 legacy further and achieve greater height in the years to come. TM Shameer thanked his team for supporting him during his tenure and promised his full support to the new committee.

Area 63 club Presidents TM Suresh Thanneru, TM Asif Siddiqui, TM Khaled Mutairi and TM Iqbal Raj spoke on the occasion and wholeheartedly praised energetic leader TM Kudroli for his contribution in taking the area to the pinnacle of success. The old Excom was discharged of their duties and the mantle was passed on to the newly elected Area Governor.

Division E & L Conference Concluding Ceremony

First Ever Joint Division E & L conference concluding ceremony was conducted on June 2 at royal Regal Classic Restaurant, Al Jubail. Conference Chairman TM Shameer Ahmed Kudroli invited all the committee chairs, vice chairs, advisor as well as both division governors to grace occasion. Thanks giving event was organized to express gratitude to the teams for making the conference (held on 14th the 15th March 2013 at Royal Commission Fanateer Auditorium) a grand success. The conference was attended by the past international director DTM Ted Corcoran and International Champion of Public Speaking (2005) DTM Lance Millar who offered valuable tips on leadership and public speaking. It is noteworthy that for the first time a director and world champion taking time to attend a conference held here in Jubail.

As per the conference theme ‘Exceeding Excellence’ we meticulously ‘exceeded the excellence’ with all your wholehearted support and encouragement, said Conference Chairman Shameer in his concluding speech.

Kuwait: Friday Forum Kuwait conducted its 12th inter-school Islamic Elocution Competition at Hotel Rajadhani Palace, Khaitan on 1st January 2020. 

The competition, which was held in the senior and junior categories had participation from 15 Indian Schools across Kuwait comprising of 43 students. In the senior category, Ayisha Wafiya of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Efrem Joseph of Indian Community School, Amman won the second prize. 

In the junior category, Hima Jameela of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Fadhel Kandapath of Fahaheel Al Wataniya Indian School won the second prize. Nawaal Yaseen Ebrahim of Indian Community School (SR), Salmiya and Rhruthunanda of Indian Learners Own Academy, Abbasiya won the consolation prizes in senior and junior categories respectively.

This year, the event was fully conducted by the ladies wing of Friday Forum. Dr. Thasneem Amir, Ibtisam Basheer, Toast Masters Ola Rasheed, Fatma Abduhedeid, Shazia Thabassum and Marium Rangat were the judges for the competition in senior and junior categories. The event started with the Qira’at by Saneera Riyas, followed by welcome speech by Dr. Sajna Mohammed. 

The prizes were distributed to winners by Shahina Mansoor, Femitha Faseeh, Dr.Thasneem Amir, Dr. Sajna Mohammed, Zeenath Yacoub, Safna Sayam and Saneera Riyas. The Souvenir for the program - “INSPERIA 2020”- was released during the event by the chief editor Farha Abdul Rahman. The program was compered by Thanveera Noushad and the program convenor Subeana Shabeer conveyed the vote of thanks.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Dammam: President of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Mr.Wasim Rabbani urged immediate intervention of Indian government to help Non Residential Indians who are in trouble due to corona pandemic in Saudi Arabia.

He said in a press rease that expatriate Indians are in concern  as number of corona infected people and  deaths are increasing in danger level.

Hea said, "the Saudi health minister's statement a few days ago indicates that the situation in Saudi needs to be taken more seriously with precautionary methods. There are concerns among expatriates because the number of people infected with the coronavirus and the number of deaths reported in various provinces are increasing at an alarming rate."

"Saudi Government and Health Ministry are taking excellent precautionary measures, however, in the coming days expect to see the number of cases to increase in Saudi Arabia. The Indian government needs to take diplomatic and immediate intervention to ensure the treatment of Indian expatriates considering the number of effected people increasing", He said.

He also urged that the Embassy and the Government of India should ensure qaurantiane faculty for Indian expatriates and arrange special low cost flights to bring back expatriates who would like to return home country.

" Government of India and Indian embassy need to intervene immediately to ensure that the quarantine system is in place for Indian expatriates as the facilities in the rooms where the residents are staying together are very limited. There should also be a mechanism to organize low-cost flight services for expatriates who are ready to go home. The government system should also be able to accommodate the expatriates in special quarantine areas in hometown as soon they arrive in India", he urged.
