Buntara Sangha Kuwait felicitates Kanthadiguthu Harish Pergade

Kuwait, Oct 27: Buntara Sangha Kuwait-2002 honored Kanthadiguthu Harish Pergade, Founder of ‘Sri Matha Lakshani Vridashrama’ and ‘Sri Matha Lakshani Old Age Home’ on October 18, 2013 at Mughalai Restaurant, Salmiya on his recent visit to Kuwait to attend Tulukoota Kuwait’s World Tulu Convention 2013.

The organizing committee welcomed him with the flower bouquet.

Sanmathi Menda gave a brief introduction of Mr. Pergade’s life and his deed in taking care of his brothers dream Founder of ‘Sri Matha Lakshani Vridashrama’ and ‘Sri Matha Lakshani Old Age Home’. Then the Organizing committee and Guruprasad Hegde honored him with shawl and memento.

Later Mr. Pergade thanked everybody and explained about his intention regarding the old age home and the concept of old age home in providing accommodation, food and medical aid to the residents. He also explained about how to raise the present generation kids and their responsibility towards the society. BSK-2002 contributed a small amount to his good deeds and wished him a great success in pursuing his dream. The program was concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. Praveenchandra Rai Maroli.

The Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Bahrain, has charted aircrafts to repatriate stranded expatriates to India. 

Boby Parayil, General Secretary, OICC National Committee, Bahrain has thanked all those who supported in this cause.

“The aircrafts were not licensed and were in crisis until the last minute. Finally, Mohammed Mansoor, president of Bahrain chapter of Indian Overseas Congress approached IOC Middle East in charge Dr Arathi Krishna, who helped get permission to operate flight to Kozhikode,” he said in a release. 

All mandatory approvals from the Foreign Ministry of Affairs and other government officials were accomplished by Dr Arathi Krishna. OICC has expressed gratitude to her for her timely support, he said. 

OICC is also grateful to former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy for doing necessary arrangements to get all the approvals for flight landing in Kerala, he added.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.
