Mar 25: Ravindra Jadeja was named “Man of the Match” at the end of the fourth and final Test against Australia at Feroz Shah Kotla on Sunday — a Test in which he scored a timely 43 in the first innings to give India a slender lead and then hastened Australia’s doom in the second innings with figures of five for 58. His efforts enabled India complete a sensational 4-0 rout of Australia.
Jadjea also emerged as the second highest wicket-taker from both sides with 24 wickets at 17.45, second only to Man of the Series Ravichandran Ashwin, who took 29 wickets at 20.10.
Jadeja has become something of a cult figure on social media. On Sunday he was the flavour of Twitter where the hashtags #JadejaFacts and #SirRavindraJadeja were both trending.
In fact, there is a fake account on Twitter for “Sir Ravindra Jadeja” [@SirJadeja], which proclaims “Form is temporary, I’m permanent”
This pic was shared by @SirJadeja account, with the words, “This is what they do, when Sir Jadeja comes on the field! #JadejaFacts”!!!
