Bengaluru, Apr 2: The Central Crime Branch officials on Saturday arrested a 36-year-old Nigerian national and seized 62 gm of cocaine worth Rs. 2 lakh.
Bright Ighalo, residing in Sultanpalya, was collecting the consignment from his clients at R.T. Nagar, 1st Block, when he was nabbed.
The police also recovered Rs. 12,500, a mobile phone and motorcycle from him. The police are verifying his travel documents and the source of the drugs.
Mandya, Jul 6: With a journalist from Srirangapatna testing positive for Covid-19, the Mandya District Journalists Association was sealed as a precautionary measure.
Association President K C Manjunath said on Monday that as the reporter has tested positive for Covid-19, it was voluntarily decided to seal down the premises for another month.

Madikeri, Jul 24: Water from river Cauvery, which is deemed as holy, and mud from Kodagu, the birth district of river Cauvery was collected and will be sent to Ayodhya for use during groundbreaking (Bhoomi Pooja) ceremony for the construction of Ram Mandir on August 5.
Workers of Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Hindu Jagarana Vedike collected the soil and water from River Cauvery at Talacauvery Kshetra, the birthplace of river Cauvery.
Special pooja was offered at Talacauvery, praying for the timely completion of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
