Al-Jubal: Indian Social Forum Karnataka Chapter Eastern Province and Lulu Hypermarket jointly organized “ART BEAT-2018” as part of Children’s Day in Lulu Hypermarket, Al-Jubail. 140 kids participated in various activities like colouring competition, fancy dress, quiz etc. Habiba won first prize & Shezafathima second prize in colouring competition in junior section, whereas Aliya Raheema won first prize and Nuha Nawaz second prize in senior section colouring competition. Umar Hamza won first prize and Sheza Fathima second prize in junior section fancy dress competition whereas in senior section AlizaAdil and Arsh won first & second prize respectively.

Main attraction of the event was the colourful fancy dress competition, where kids dressed up as famous personalities like Chacha Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Charlie Chaplin etc., also with social messages like save earth, follow traffic signals etc.

Indian International School Teachers Asha, Asiya & ISF Dammam Block President Shabeer joined the event as judges for kids program. Abdullah Al Hajri Security Manager of lulu Hypermarket, Indian Social Forum Karnataka State Secretary Muhammad Firoz and India Fraternity Forum Secretary Muhammad Sajid were the chief Guests of the presentation ceremony. “The evening turned to be cloud of joy for children because of different activities organized,” said a parent at the event.

While delivering the Children's Day message Muhammad Firoz recalled Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's achievements. He further stated that “Jawaharlal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of the nation, nurtured scholastic influence, love for children.

He had a clear vision of what modern India should look like and with this realization, Pandit Nehru proposed, when provided adequate opportunity and guidance, the children of the country will show immense potential to contribute to society and humanity and also Islamic views indicates children as trust for the family and hence parents should ensure that the Children are brought up with a righteous manner”. Indian Social Forum Udupi Block executive council Member Mr. Saleem hosted the event.

Dubai: A blood donation drive was conducted by Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) at in Al Wasl Club Stadium here on Friday, 26th June 2020.

The drive started around 1:00 pm and continued till 4:00 pm as per schedule provided by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Blood Donation Centre and 60 people donated blood to support the Blood Bank. The drive was well organised by maintaining social distance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As blood cannot be produced but only can be donated, this drive will help many patients in need of blood during emergencies. Donors were also feeling proud and happy at this moment thinking of saving someone’s life.

DHA Blood Donation Centre staff carried out the screening and testing done in very well manner keeping social distancing during this pandemic. Volunteers of KSCC were also helping the staff to keep people in safe distance and to make this drive a success.

KSCC Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi and other office bearers were present at the event venue. KSCC thanked the volunteers, Community Development of Authority (CDA), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Blood Donation Centre, Government of Dubai and Al Wasl Club Stadium for making the event successful.
