Mysuru, Apr 26: JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy, who had formed the government with the BJP in Karnataka in the past, has now accused Congress of reaching a secret pact with the saffron party in Varuna Assembly constituency.
“The Congress derives a wicked pleasure in describing the JD(S) as the ‘B’ team of the BJP. Why did the BJP withdraw the candidature of B Y Vijayendra, son of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, from Varuna, where Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Dr Yathindra is contesting?” he questioned.
“There is a possibility of a secret pact between Siddaramaiah and Yeddyurappa. We have a coalition with the BSP and we do not have any understanding with any other party. We have the confidence to take both the Congress and the BJP head-on,” he said.
He was addressing the Kumara Parva convention, which was attended by both JD(S) and BSP candidates and party workers of the Mysuru region, at the Maharaja’s College Grounds here.
