Hassan, Jul 21: Even as opposition parties in Karnataka are blaming state government responsible for suicides and suicide attempts by officers, a KAS officer reportedly tried to kill herself at her residence in Hassan on Thursday.
E. Vijaya, who has been working as Assistant Commissioner of Hassan since January 2015, was transferred as Administrative Officer of Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences last month.
She had reportedly sent a message to Additional SP Shobha Rani saying that she would commit suicide. The police officer rushed to her residence as soon as she received the message and took her to a private hospital in her official car. It is said she attempted to hang herself.
Vijaya was transferred to the Medical Education Department last month. She moved the Karnataka Administrative Tribunal against the transfer.
She got her transfer stayed on the grounds that she had not yet completed her two-year tenure in the post. Many organisations had demanded her transfer and disciplinary action against her alleging that she was corrupt.

Ladies whether IAS, IPS or any higher ranking officers, they have a limitations.
The rules of employment for them should be totally different than their male counterparts.
Their rulings should be suitable for their nature of women mentality, physique.
Though they can be genius, scientists, but to work under pressure, they can never be equal to men on such factors.
The society should over burden them.
