New Delhi, Jul 30: The Eid release – Bajrangi Bhaijaan starring Salman Khan is doing phenomenal business in its second week in India as well as across the border.

bajrangi-bhaijaaPeople are flocking to the theatres in Pakistan to watch the film which has a strong Indo-Pak message in it. According to reports, people are leaving the halls with tears in their eyes because of the emotional connect.

Also, the success of `BB` in the second week is unstoppable as people from all age groups are thronging the theatres to watch the film that has won the hearts of all.

Theatre owners claim to have witnessed record number of people leaving cinema halls misty-eyed after watching the movie, about a Bajrangbali (Hanuman) devotee Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi's (played by Salman) journey from India to escort a six-year-old mute Pakistani girl back to her village.

"I have been working in this cinema business for the last seven years but I never witnessed such a large number of people coming out of the cinema hall with tears in their eyes after every show of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'," says Shahram Raza of Cine Star Cinema in Lahore.

Raza, who works at the ticket counter, said people look very excited while buying tickets for "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".

"However, as the show ends most of them especially women come out with tears in their eyes. In other movies, people come out talking loudly when the show ends but in the case of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' I hardly heard any chat," he said, adding that because of the emotional storyline people could relate to the film.

Some youngsters in Pakistan have watched the movie twice including Momina Rana, who thinks it is perhaps the first Indian film in which Pakistan is shown in positive light. She is happy with this change of mindset among Bollywood filmmakers.

"The general public in both Pakistan and India is peace loving and that is why this movie is so widely appreciated here and must be out there (India) as well. I would love to watch this movie again and again as such a film is not made every day," she added.

Pakistan Film Exhibitors Association Chairman Zoraiz Lashari said that the Eid holidays were very well spent this year, all thanks to "Bajrangi Bhaijaan".

"There has been a phenomenal response from the public as over 80 cinemas of the country are jam-packed since Eid (July 18) to watch 'Bajrangi'. People from all walks of life and of all age groups are standing in queues to book their seats in cinema halls for it," Lashari said.

In comparison to the Pakistan films which released with `Bajrangi Bhaijaan`, the success of the latter is unmatched.

The movie which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kareena Kapoor Khan have minted over SR 250 crores and is arcing fast towards the Rs 300 crore club.

Mumbai, Jan 9: Actor Juhi Chawla on Wednesday said instead of constantly criticising the government, one should reflect on own conduct and talk about uniting rather than dividing.

The actor attended an event which aimed to counter "Free Kashmir (narrative), anti-India slogans, false propaganda and clear the misconception."

Juhi said as artistes, it's unfair to be questioned about incidents "just for a reaction" when they should be given time to truly understand the situation.

"We are going to work, thinking how to execute our task, then some incident happens somewhere and suddenly the media asks, 'what do you think about this?' We haven't understood the matter, people haven't understood the matter but you need a reaction.

"Let people understand, whether it's NRC or CAA, and what's is it about, why is this being talked about," Juhi told reporters.

The actor said it is sad that people talk about division more than unity.

"Everyone is quick to talk about dividing. Why don't we talk about uniting? Why does everyone say 'what is the government doing, why is it doing this?' but I say if you point one finger there then three fingers are at you.

Washington, Jul 16: Actor Chris Evans, better known as 'Captain America', made a six-year-old boy's day by sending him a personalised video message lauding his heroic act of saving his younger sister from a dog attack.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the aunt of the young boy (Bridger Walker from Cheyenne) posted on Instagram the story of how the boy saved his sister on July 9 and was horribly injured in the process.

She shared the story on the photo-sharing platform on Sunday and also posted few photos featuring the brother-sister duo as well as pictures of the injuries on Walker's face.

"After receiving 90 stitches (give or take) from a skilled plastic surgeon, he's finally resting at home," wrote the aunt (Nikki Walker).
"We love our brave boy and want all the other superheroes to know about this latest hero who joined their ranks," she added.

Moved by the young boy's story, Evans made a direct video message appreciating the boy for what he did, and how he is no less than a superhero.

He also promised to send the young kid an authentic 'Captain America' shield as a reward for his selfless, heroic act.

Evans' video message to the young boy was shared by the aunt on her Instagram profile.
In the video, Evans is saying, "Pal, you're a hero, what you did was so brave, so selfless -- your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother.

Your parents must be so proud of you," Evans said in a video message that the family shared Wednesday. "Keep being the man you are, we need people like you. Hang in there, I know recovery might be tough, but based on what I've seen, I don't think there's much that can slow you down."

Towards the end, the 39-year-old actor told the boy he was sending the 'Captain America' shield to him, as the world needs more bravehearts like the little boy.
