Bengaluru, Sept 7: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dinesh Gundu Rao today criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for not uttering any words on providing financial assistance from the Center to the flood victims, during his two-day visit to Karnataka.
Speaking to newsmen here on Saturday, he said that the Prime Minister despite knowing the plights of over ten lakh flood victims in the State did not spare any time to speak and submit a memorandum.
Stating that the Prime Minister’s office had not respond to the KPCC’s appeal seeking time to meet Narendra Modi and explain the situation, the KPCC President said that “Prime Minister should have reviewed the situation by holding a meeting with the Chief Minister, Revenue Minister and Chief Secretary and announce financial assistance to the State”.
