Udupi, March 7: Minister for Medical Education Ramdas on Wednesday said that the results of election in five states have given a clear indication that BJP is a substitute to Congress in the next general elections.
Speaking to media persons in the city, he said, voters have also rejected the notion that Rahul is the next prime minister of India. “But people have vote for youth power and BJP candidate Sunil Kumar has the bright prospects in the by-election”', he added.
When asked how could he claim the results to be in their favour, when BJP's seat tally and vote percentage decreased compared to previous elections, Ramdas failed to answer.
He tried to make amendments saying NDA improved its tally.
BJP leaders Katapady Shankar Poojary, Uday Kumar Shetty, Vishweshwar Bhat Bangaradka and Shyamala Kundar were present.
