priyankaMumbai, Jul 15: Priyanka Chopra’s brother Siddharth who owns The Mugshot Lounge in Pune has been allegedly booked for illegally serving hookah with tobacco mixed products at his restaurant. Yes! According to reports doing the rounds, the cops have booked Chopra along with the hotel manager Prakash Tulcharam Choudhary (24) under sections of the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products (Prohibition Of advertisement And Regulation Of Trade And Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act, 2003.

Word is that this raid happened quite recently after inspector Rajendra Kadam of the crime branch learnt that some people from high-class society have been indulging in tobacco mixed products with hookah at The Mugshot Lounge. Following which, a crime branch team immediately raided the spot on Wednesday night and seized tobacco mixed products worth Rs 26,000 that were served with hookah. Turns out a press release issued by the Pune city police on Thursday stated that possession and sale of these tobacco mixed products is against the law.

While an official confirmation on the same is yet to be made. Siddharth is currently in New York with his sister PC who is shooting for the second season of her International TV series, Quantico. PC even shared this picture with Siddharth this morning.

Muzaffarnagar, May 18: Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his family has been quarantined for 14 days in his house in Budhana in Muzaffarnagar district.

The actor and his family underwent medical screening and have tested negative for Coronavirus.

The actor reached his home on May 15 after taking a travel pass. He and his family have been asked to remain in home quarantine till May 25.

His mother, brother and sister-in-law also made the journey with him in his private vehicle.

The actor told reporters that he underwent medical screenings at 25 points during his journey.

Kushalpal Singh, Station House Officer (SHO), Budhana police circle, said that the health officials had visited the home of the actor and ordered a 14-day quarantine for them.

Srinagar, Feb 7: Jammu and Kashmir High Court on Friday dismissed a petition seeking a stay on the release of the movie 'Shikara' which is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley.

The film which hit theatres today has Vidhu Vinod Chopra at the helm and narrates the story of the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990 that forced lakhs to flee their homeland almost overnight following a genocidal campaign by militants.

Shot primarily in the Valley, the movie is being promoted mainly as a journey of love between the lead couple.

Jan 2: A young filmmaker was allegedly assaulted by an acquaintance during an argument over CAA-NRC in neighbouring Salt Lake City, police said on Wednesday.

The police have arrested the accused following a complaint by the filmmaker.

According to a senior police officer, the argument over the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC) began following a social media post by the filmmaker.

The accused allegedly went to the house of the filmmaker on Monday night and picked up an argument, which led to a scuffle.

"During the scuffle, the accused attacked the filmmaker with a knife," the senior police officer said, adding that the accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
