Priyanka in Forbes' top-10 highest-paid TV actresses list

Los Angeles, Sept 27: Indian star Priyanka Chopra has made it to Forbes' annual top-10 highest-paid TV actresses list that has Sofia Vergara on the number one spot.

Chopra, already an established star in Bollywood, made her acting debut in the West with TV show "Quantico". She cemented her position as one of the rising stars in Hollywood by playing the antagonist in the movie reboot of "Baywatch".

With her earning of USD 10 million, she is on the eighth position on the list, nudging "House of Cards" star Robin Wright (USD 9 million) to the ninth spot.

Vergara, best known for her portrayal of Gloria Delgado- Pritchett on "Modern Family", has topped the list for the sixth year in a row with an impressive earning of USD 41.5 million.

"The Big Bang Theory" star Kaley Cuoco was second on the list by earning USD 26 million.

"Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo tied with "The Mindy Project" star Mindy Kaling for the third spot on the list with both making USD 13 million.

Mariska Hargitay (USD 12.5 million) of "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" features on the fifth spot while Vergara's "Modern Family" costar, Julie Bowen, was placed sixth with her earning of USD 12 million dollars.

"Scandal" star Kerry Washington sits at seventh with USD 11 million.

Pauley Perrette (USD 8.5 million) is on number 10.

Mumbai, Jul 28: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says he was left in tears as his daughter-in-law, actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan were discharged from hospital after testing negative for coronavirus.

Aishwarya and her eight-year-old daughter, who were shifted to the isolation ward of Nanavati Hospital on July 17, were discharged on Monday.

Amitabh, 77, and his actor-son Abhishek are still in hospital after they were admitted on July 11.

In a post on official blog, the Bollywood veteran said that he became emotional when Aaradhya told him that he would be "back home soon".

"They go home, the little one and Bahurani... and the tears flow out... the little one embraces and tells me not to cry... 'You’ll be home soon', she assures... I must believe her," he said.

On Monday, Abhishek had said that he and his father were still under the care of medical staff at the Nanavati Hospital's isolation ward.

"My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff. Thank you all for your continued prayers and good wishes. Indebted forever," the 44-year-old actor tweeted.

Both Amitabh and Abhishek have been sharing their health updates with fans on various social media platforms.

Last week, Amitabh had dismissed reports that he had finally tested negative for coronavirus, calling the piece of news "an incorrigible lie".

Mumbai's Covid-19 tally rose to 1,10,129 on Monday with addition of 1,033 new cases.

New Delhi, Mar 27: By posting a stunning picture of herself, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan on Friday motivated people to stay strong during the tough times that the country is facing amid the coronavirus crisis.
The actor took to Instagram and posted a high-on-style picture of herself clicked from behind.
In the picture, the 'Jab We Met' actor is seen standing in front of make-up mirrors that had lights adding on to the shine of the picture.
"Nothing can dim the light that shines from within... Stay strong. We can and we will," she captioned the picture in which she is seen wearing a blue bodycon dress having puffy sleeves.
The glamourous picture received scores of comments from the celebrated actor's fans.
With the entertainment industry under shutdown, many celebrities are self-isolating them to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The number of people who have tested positive for the coronavirus rose to 724 on Friday, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Washington D.C., Mar 1: British actor Daniel Radcliffe in a recent interview said he is not rushing back to reprise the role of young wizard, Harry Potter, anytime soon.

The 30-year-old star who rose to fame with the first eight films in J.K. Rowling's famed franchise, told Variety that he doesn't like to say no to things but reprising the role in the 'Fantastic Beasts' prequels is not something he's "rushing to do".

"I feel like those films have moved on and they're doing just fine without us. I'm happy to keep it that way. I like what my life is now," Radcliffe told the outlet.

"I'm not saying that I'll never go back into any franchise, but I like the flexibility that I have with my career now. And I don't want to get into a situation where I'm signed up for one series for years in advance," cited Variety as Radcliffe as saying.

Radcliffe is currently gearing up for his upcoming mystery-thriller 'Escape from Pretoria,' a true-life prison drama, where he is set to essay the character Tim Jenkin.

The forthcoming flick is set to hit the theatres on March 6.
