Rajkumar is new president of GSS Bahrain Billawas

Manama: The Guru Seva Samiti (GSS) Bahrain Billawas unanimously elected its new executive committee for the year 2015 – 2016 during the twelfth annual general body meeting held at Papillion Hotel banquet hall here recently.

Bahrain based entrepreneur and well known social worker Mr Rajkumar has been elected as the new president. He took over from Mr Krishna Suvarna.

The new committee is a blend of experience and young blood with Mr Surendra Udyavar as its vice president and Mr Harish Poojary as general secretary.

GSS has actively associated itself with many groups and associations based in Mangaluru and Udupi as part of social causes. It is also known for identifying deserving talents in the Billawa community in Bahrain through various sports and entertainment programmes. It is also involved in promoting the rich Tulu and Kannada culture in the kingdom.

GSS will be hosting Shree Satyanarayana Pooja at Shree Krishna temple, Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain on April 17 and also will be holding the induction ceremony of the new committee on the same occasion.

The members of the new executive committee for 2015 – 2016 are as follows:

Harish Poojary – general secretary
Ajith Bangera – assistant general secretary
Nailesh Kumar – treasurer
Boja Poojary - assistant treasurer
Shridhar Amin – entertainment secretary

Naveen Raghu Poojary – committee member

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.
