Mumbai, Jan 10: Bollywood Actor Ranbir Kapoor and Actress Katrina Kaif reportedly got engaged in London at a private ceremony on 30 December. Apparently, Ranbir and Katrina flew to London to celebrate the New Year along with Katrina's family.
According to the sources, the 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' got engaged on December 30 in the presence of very few family members of Ranbir and Katrina.
The Bollywood lovebirds recently moved in together and are spending some quality time with each other. The source also said, the engagement was a planned event and it was Katrina's mom behind the whole episode.
family, who lives in the city, is said to have been present at the ceremony, and Ranbir's parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh too flew down to the city to bless the couple.
"The engagement was planned by Katrina's family members, who stay in London. It was a very low key affair, with only close relatives present at the do," a source close to the couple revealed to Bollywood Life.
Of late, rumours were rife that the "Barfi" star would extend a formal proposal to Kaif's family to marry her when he joined her and her family in London during Christmas.
With such news, marriage might soon be on cards. Earlier, there were reports that the lovebirds, who are currently busy shooting for Anurag Basu's "Jagga Jasoos", are planning to get married by the end of 2015.
