Riyadh: Al-Madrastul Badriya felicitates Haji Hasanabba

Riyadh: Al Madrastul Badriya (AMB), Riyadh, organised a felicitation function for Haji Hasanabba, the former vice president of Badriya Jumma Masjid, 7th Block Katipalla, and the present Honorary President of Al Madrasat Al Badriya Jumma Masjid 4th Block Katipalla a unit of Badriya Jumma Masjid recently at its one of the active members, Shareef’s residence in Batha during his visit to Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Mohammed, the former President of AMB Riyadh, and senior member Mr. M.M Ali facilitated Hasanabba by draping a shawl on him.

Mr. Mohammed spoke about the works carried out by Hasanabba’s for the benefit of the community and AMB since its formation.

The organization secretary Abdul Azeez and Mansoor Deerah, President of AMB Riyadh were on the dais.

Hasanabba inaugurated the distribution drive of Ramadan kit for 30 poor families in around 4th Block Katipalla as its first ever scheme.

Mansoor Dheerah welcomed the guests and the treasurer B.M Ismail compered the programme. Mansoor and Ismail handed over a momento to Hasnabba.

Shabeer MP, the secretary of AMB Riyadh, proposed the vote of thanks. Ashraf, Abdul Raheem, Shareef, Azhar, Mohammed Fahad B.K were also present.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Dubai: Karnataka Sports & Cultural Club (KSCC) distributed Eid Kit across the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah to the ) needy people on Eid al Fitr.

KSCC President Mr. Mohammed Ismail Said: “Eid is a Symbol of Gratitude and Unity. As the last few weeks have been hard for each one of us, we wanted to stand in solidarity to celebrate Eid, by helping labours and needy people. He also said that “We are together to be part of UAE. Serving these meals is our core social responsibility."

KSCC recently conducted humanitarian services during COVID-19 pandemic in 2 phases and conducted Blood Donation Drive. They have also planned to conduct next Blood Donation Drive on 25th May, 2020.

The KSCC main objective is to develop the expatriate community into a well-nourished section of society in the areas of social, sports and cultural activities.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.
