Riyadh: Khidmah Foundation holds annual general body meeting

Riyadh: Khidmah Foundation Riyadh Unit (KF) held its annual general body meeting at Maqsoura Conference hall of East Ramada Hot on 17th Feb 2017. The meeting commenced with the recitation of the holy Quran by Mohammed Nasrullah Kandlur.

Janab Ashraf Koteshwar welcomed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to all KF Life members, Office bearers of the organization and the guests.

Brother Yaseen Shirur was given the stage space to briefly highlight the Goals and Targets of Khidmah Foundation and that each and every individual needs to solely take the responsibility of representing oneself as a better human and be more responsible in life with positivity towards the life itself.

KF General Secretary Mr. Fazlu Rehman Kolkar presented the Achievements of KF in Kundapur Taluk during the year 2015-16 through a detailed presentation. He thanked all the committee members of KF Riaydh as well as India Unit for their excellent efforts for extending their support for the tremendous achievement this year.

He also thanked the well-wishers and a newly formed KF Dammam Unit for taking the initiative and completing 1 year successfully and appealed to all the Youngsters to take lead and step forward for the noble cause which is one of the best ways to please Almighty Allah and get the rewards when one departs this world.

KF Riyadh Unit senior advisor Janab Saifuddin Kirimanjeshwar presented his thoughts on being a responsible human by looking after one’s home and fulfilling one’s personal rights and then move forward towards serving the community in order to attain good rewards for the hereafter. He asserted that the one who does not belong to his own family will not belong to the community or the society. Hence it is very essential to look after one’s home first and then serving the community or the society comes next.

The Treasurer JanabNasrullah Sheikh Kirimanjeshwar presented the annual statement of accounts and the balance sheet with detailed expenses and income for the year 2015-16.

Janab Abdussalam Moulana and Janab Bedre Ibrahim Hanglur shared their thoughts on this auspicious occasion. The President Janab Abdul Gafoor Sheikh Basrurdelivered the vote of thanks speech by thanking all the members for tremendous achievement under his president ship and thereafter the Old Committee was dissolved and a new Committee for the year 2017 was formed.

Janab Yaseen Shirur was elected as president for the current term for Riyadh HQ and Janab Abdussalam Moulana was elected as the vice president. Janab Fazlu Rehman Kolkar has been elected as the General Secretary HQ. Janab Kolkar Jaffer is the Chairman of HQ and JanabBedre Ibrahim Hanglur has been elected as vice chairman. The Other responsibilities were shared by the rest of the committee members.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) Chaiman Dr Sam Pitroda held video conference with senior IOC office bearers across Middle Eastern countries on 14th April 2020 to review the impact of COVID-19 pandemic among Indians residing in the region. Almost all speakers appreciated the efforts initiated and  implemented by  respective governments to contain spread of the deadly virus as well as measures taken towards welfare of the people affected by the lockdown. 

IOC Presidents, Mohammed Mansour - Bahrain, Abdullah Manjeri - Saudi Arabia, Dr J Ratan kunar - Oman and Girish kumar - Qatar, highlighted the quality treatment of patients and finacial aid provided by governments and other authorities. Bahrain IOC president Mansour , also  apprised about the 'Food for Needy' drive in Association with KHK Heroes foundation, initiated by HH Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa and quality treatments as well as financial aid to local and expat residents.

Anura Mathai, IOC  Global Event Coordinator, spoke about certain problems of Indians in the UAE. IOC Middle East Convener, Mansoor Palloor, emphasised and requested IOC Chairman to urge Indian government to arrange immediate repatriation of indians stranded in Gulf countries. AICC Secretary, Himanshu Vyas, IOC Secretary Dr Arathi Krishna, Dr Arshi Malik (Abha), Mohiuddin Sirajudeen (Jeddah), Advocate Joseph Palathara (Dammam) Prasad Kodru, Jayati Maitra Ziyad Ahmed (Qatar) and Khursheed Alam (Gen Secretary- Bahrain) also apprised the participants about various issues relevant to the pandemic and suggested further initiatives to be undertaken. 

Dr Sam Pitroda briefed about sustained and consolidated efforts by all IOC members  during this unprecedented situation facing the world and assured that he would convey IOC  concerns to the government and try his best to ensure all possible help is made available to all needy Indians.
