Udupi, Aug 17: Satyatma Tirtha Swami of Uttaradi Math has offered a chain made of precious gems costing about Rs. 19 lakh to Lord Krishna at the Sri Krishna Mutt/Temple here on Saturday.
He handed over the chain to Vidyavallabha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Kaniyur Math. The Uttaradi seer is here on his ‘chaturmasya’, stated a press release here.

One Lakh towards Covid-19 relief.

Vilas Kumar and Treasurer Sri Maroor Shashidhar Pai handed over two cheques for Rs. 50,000/- each favouring ‘PM Cares’ – the Prime Minister’s Covid-l9 Relief Fund and ‘Chief Minister Relief Fund Covid-l9’ of Karnataka respectively to Smt. Sindhu B. Rupesh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of D. K. District at her office in Mangalore on Monday, May 4, 2020.
Mandya, Jul 6: With a journalist from Srirangapatna testing positive for Covid-19, the Mandya District Journalists Association was sealed as a precautionary measure.
Association President K C Manjunath said on Monday that as the reporter has tested positive for Covid-19, it was voluntarily decided to seal down the premises for another month.
