Several cases registered in Kerala, Karnataka over suspected ISIS links

rajnath Kasaragod, Aug 3: Revolutionary Socialist Party leader and Kollam MP N K Premachandran has said that following a submission made by him in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh stated that, as per reports, persons from various States, including Kerala, who had gone missing reached camps of terrorist outfits such as the Islamic State and that nine cases had been registered in Kerala alone in this connection.

Mr. Premachandran, in a statement, said Mr. Singh informed him that apart from the Kerala, similar cases of missing persons had been reported from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Along with the police from these States, the National Investigating Agency was also investigating the cases.

The Minister said that in connection with the missing persons joining terrorist outfits abroad, 54 persons had been arrested so far. According to information, the IS has launched various plans for making recruitments from India, and that along with the State police, the Central investigation agencies were closely following up the information.

9 missing persons out of 20 crores.....PEA NUTS.... All the fingers of a hand are not equal.... After 5 years, the govt will come back and say, these were wrong reports by Police, as happened in the case of Akshamdam and Hyderabad attacks...

After 10 years everybody will be proved innocent..

49-year-old Bantwal man dies of coronavirus; DK’s death toll mounts to 18

Mangaluru, Jul 2: A middle aged man who was battling health issues due to kidney-related ailments, breathed his last at a private hospital.

He was tested positive for coronavirus.

The deceased was a 49-year-old resident of Kalladka in Bantwal.

According to sources, the man, was getting treated for tuberculosis and liver-related ailments, he was at home since 20 days.

On June 27 he was admitted to the private hospital in the city due to kidney related ailment.

With this, the total number of death of covid patients in the district reached to 18.

Raghavendra Kini is the new chairman of Udupi Urban Development Authority

Udupi, June 26: BJP leader K Raghavendra Kini has been appointed as the new Chairman of Udupi Urban Development Authority (UUDA) by Government of Karnataka.

A well-known businessman, Raghavendra Kini is also serving as the president of Kunjibettu Consumers’ Multipurpose Co-operative Union.

Along with him, the State Government has appointed Suma Naika, Praveen Kumar Shetty and Kishor Kumar as members of the Authority.

Expert team in Mangaluru to study reason for spurt in covid-19 deaths

Mangaluru, Jul 17: An expert team from Bengaluru has arrived here on Friday to study the factors that have led to the sudden spurt in death due to Covid-19 in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka in the recent past.

The team has arrived following a request made by the district administration. The team comprising three experts has already held talks with specialist Doctors, according to official sources.

It will examine the reports on the treatment provided to the patients who have succumbed to the infection and will submit a report citing reasons for the increase in deaths, the sources added.
