Sidd is expert in creating videos: Savadi

Hubballi, Nov 5: Rejecting the videotape on Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi on Tuesday said that Congress leader and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is expert in creating Videos and it is his habit to make baseless allegations.

Addressing the media persons here on Tuesday, Savadi denied the allegation that he was behind the leakage of any audio and said 'Siddaramaiah has a habit of creating Videos and making it viral. He is thinking that I am like him. We are all aware of his role in various viral videos, he said.

He said "Yediyurappa only said that BJP was able to form government because of the disqualified MLAs. He did not mention home minister Amit Shah's name at all during the Hubbali party meeting as I was also present there." He also noted that a team has been formed by BJP to probe as to who leaked chief minister BS Yediyurappa's audio clip.

Mangaluru, Feb 14: Police have submitted over 50 videos in a pen drive to Udupi Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha as evidence to violent protests that led to police firing on December 19 in which Jaleel and Nausheen died.

ACP and police nodal officer Belliyappa submitted a pen drive consisting over 50 video clips including CCTV footage. 

The police earlier had submitted 20 digital video recorder (DVR) before the court and an acknowledgement of the same was produced before the Magistrate.

Hearing on video evidence will be held at High Court on February 24.

Mangalore, Feb 4: Final chance to present evidence and record eyewitness statements with the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi G Jagadeesh regarding the December 19 violence will be held on February 6 between 1100 and 1300 hrs.

Eyewitness and evidence presenters can depose at the Assistant’s Commissioner’s Court Hall in the Mini Vidhan Soudha in the city.

The Deputy Commissioner said that no evidence would be accepted after this last round of public hearing.

New Delhi, Feb 20: The Supreme Court on Thursday stayed the non-bailable warrants issued against the state Director General of Police (DGP) and Inspector General of Police (IGP) by the Karnataka High Court.

A bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde stayed the non-bailable warrants while hearing a plea filed by the Karnataka government.

Earlier today, the apex court had agreed to hear the matter today itself after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta mentioned the matter before it.

Tushar Mehta had pointed that Home Secretary has been asked by the High Court to execute the non-bailable warrants and said that this order is "unusual".

Karnataka High Court had earlier issued non-bailable warrants against the top cops in a case.
