Speeding Audi SUV Crashes Into Truck in Delhi, 1 Dead, 2 Seriously Injured

New Delhi, Dec 10: One person was killed and two others seriously injured after a speeding Audi SUV hit a dumper truck in central Delhi's Barakhambha Road late last night. Such was the force of the impact that the front end of the car was completely crushed.

There were four people inside the Audi, who were returning home after attending a wedding.

It took the police a half an hour to pull the driver of the SUV out of the vehicle; he was declared brought dead when taken to the nearby Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.

Two others are battling for life and one of them has also lost vision in one of his eye.

Bakery owner arrested for 'no Muslim staff' tagline

Mumbai, May 10: A 32-year old man, running a bakery here has been arrested for alleged promotion of products using a tagline that said his firm does not employ Muslims, police said on Sunday.

The man, who is also selling his products online had allegedly said "made by Jains on orders, no Muslim staff" for promotion purposes in his WhatApp group.

A complaint was lodged against him saying the words depicted Muslims in a bad light and Mambalam police registered a case and arrested him, a release said adding a probe was on.

Recently, a man was arrested in Mumbai after he allegedly refused to collect groceries he had ordered online since the delivery person was a Muslim.

Depressed over money woes, Maha man commits suicide

Nagpur, Apr 5: A 23-year-old man allegedly committed suicide in Imambada area in Nagpur on Saturday due to financial distress, police said.

Nikhil Gavhane, who worked in a grocery shop, hanged himself as he had taken money from a person and was stressed over repayment, an official said.

"He was depressed since a week," the Imambada police station official said.
