Sulthanul Ulema A P Aboobakar Musliar felicitated in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhbai, Nov 13: Shaikh A P Aboobakar Ahmed Musliar, the General Secretary of All India Muslim Scholars Association was given a warm felicitation by Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) and other cultural organisation in Abu Dhbai.

Popularly known of Sulthanul Ulema (the king of scholars), Kanthrapurm based Musliar had recently taken part in Kaaba washing ceremony along with other scholars from across the world.

He was honoured by expatriate Kannadigas in Abu Dhabi for his recent 9-day-long Karnataka Yatra, which culminated in Mangaluru on November 2.

Abdhurrashid Zaini Kaamil Sakhafi delivered the key-note address. He briefed about the achievement of recent Karnataka Yatra and its future benefits for the people of Karnataka, especially Muslims.

He said that a memorandum comprising 20 demands including complete ban on alcohol was submitted to the chief minister as part of the Yatra.

Sulthanul Ulema started his speech by praying for speedy recovery and healthy long life of Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates.

Bava Haji, the president of Indian Islamic Centre, inaugurated the felicitation ceremony. Master Muyunuddin from Begaluru presented naath-e-shareef. Abdul Hameed PMH, ICF National General Secretary, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Hakeem Azhari, Director Markaz Garden was also present.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.
