Bengalore, Oct 1: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths have caught redhand Ravikumar, Surveyor, Yeswanthpura Hobli, here, while accepting bribe of Rs 50,000 for showing official favour.
After receiving a complaint from a resident that the Surveyor demanded Rs 1,50,000 bribe for issuing Tatkal podi for his land, the ACB team today laid a trap and arrested him while accepting bribe amount Rs 50,000 as part payment, according to a ACB release here.
Belagavi, Jan 16: Six Poachers were arrested in two different cases at Gollahalli forest range in Kittur section in the district on Thursday.
The arrested were identified as Bharmesh alias Bharmappa Hanumant Bhajantri, Mallesh Hanumant Bhajantri residents of Budanakatti in Bailahongal Taluk.
Another alleged accused Yuvraj Basappa Bhajantri managed to escape.
Mangaluru, July 14: Melkar Women's PU college has achieved excellent pass percentage in II PUC examinations, the results of which were announced today.
As many as 140 students of the college had appeared for second PU board exam 2020 this year. The college secured 95% results in the current academic year.
Among them 24 students passed with distinction and 94 with with first class marks.

Zaithunnisa (561 in commerce) and Zainaba ifrath (545 in science) are the toppers of respective sections in the college.

Mandya, Jul 6: With a journalist from Srirangapatna testing positive for Covid-19, the Mandya District Journalists Association was sealed as a precautionary measure.
Association President K C Manjunath said on Monday that as the reporter has tested positive for Covid-19, it was voluntarily decided to seal down the premises for another month.
