Thiya Samaj UAE conducts blood donation camp in Dubai

Dubai, Jul 21: Thiya Samaj UAE, organized  a blood donation camp and marked their name in the list of other organizations  from  Indian community by  donating  53 units of blood  in their  first ever  blood donation camp held in Latifa Hospital, Dubai ( Old Al Wasl Hospital ) recently.

There is no substitute for blood donation and giving blood regularly saves lives. One single donation can be split into three separate parts, helping save or improve the lives of patients. Just three teaspoons of blood can save the life of a premature baby. If you donate blood, you can help in saving lives of many patients. This was proved by the members of Thiya Samaj and the volunteer who actively participated in this event.

Sathish  Venkataramana of Chilly Willy group supported this noble cause by  donating  some products of Chilly Willy. Also  fruits were distributed  to each blood donor. All members of  Thiya Samaj UAE, participated actively.

Roshan Bolar, President of Thiya Samaj UAE and all the committee members thanked  each and every  donor, supporters and volunteers who contributed wholeheartedly towards the success of this event. They also conveyed their special thanks to Euro Tech FZC and Bala Salian.

Dubai, Aug 7: ‘Nama Tuluve’ Purushotham Salian, a staunch stalwart who always supported humanity and a strong pillar for Tuluvas in Dubai, passed away August, 4 at Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain. He was suffering from cancer and was admitted to Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain some time ago. He was on the last stage of illness which was not detected earlier.

His funeral last rites were conducted on Thursday August 7 at Jebel Ali cemetery in Hindu rites with a few of his family members present. Due to Covid pandemic, neither his body was able to be flown back to hometown nor could his two children come down to attend the funeral. However, it was said that his wish was to be cremated here in Dubai which unknowingly sometime back he whispered to one of his friends.

Purushotham had few years ago, survived a heart attack and fought back his life, though it had a minor paralytic effect on him. Even though, till recently he used to do his day-to-day work normally. He was a hard working personality and owned a readymade garment shop in Ajman and Dubai mostly taking care of clients with requirement of uniforms and coveralls. His dedication towards work was always appreciated by his clients who used to get their things delivered on time always.

He was never a publicity person and was helping the poor and needy in whatever ways he could silently. He strongly supported the community and was associated with Nama Tuluveru and Billawa community with commitment. He used to voluntarily come forward for the ground work of various functions of the community and used to be there until it was done perfectly.

Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) once again set an example that no caste, creed, language and religion comes as hurdle for their humanitarian services and helped to perform last rites of Ramesh who committed suicide in Doha-Qatar.

45-year-old Ramesh son of K. Nagan hailing from Panikulam, Thrissur district in Kerala, who was working as a tailor committed suicide in his house at Ruwias in Qatar on 30th May 2020.

On hearing this news, some of his friends in Kearla informed Mr. Shihab who is also from Thrissur and a member of QISF and the same was brought to the notice of QISF humanitarian team head Mr. Abdul Latheef Madikeri and Basheer Ahmed of Tamil Nadu.

Immediately, the QISF team intervened and contacted the family members of the deceased in India and discussed the matter and consequences of sending the body back home to India in this pandemic COVID 19 situation.

Considering the prevailing situation, the family members gave the consent to bury the body in Qatar itself.

QISF team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation.

Finally, the body of the deceased was buried in Qatar on 7th June 2020 and the copies of all the relevant documents have been handed over to the family members.

The family members of the deceased thanked and applauded the leaders and all the members of QISF for their effective and on time humanitarian service rendered even in this pandemic crisis and having no bias.

Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee, Saudi Arabia organized Republic Day program at AlRyan Policlinic Restaurant Auditorium, Dammam on 25th January 2020.

Abdul Waris, Former Chairman of Indian International School Dammam Inaugurated the program.

Wasim Rabbani, president of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee Presided over the program.

Mansoor Shah KFUPM, Indian Social Forum Delhi Zone President, Dr. Fayaz Ahmed from King Fahad University Hospital, Amir Moulavi, Executive Member,  India Fraternity Forum (IFF) Dammam, Nasir Koduvalli, Indian Social Forum, Kerala State President, Dammam, Sharief, Social Forum Karnataka State President, DammamJahangir Moulavi, Tamilnadu State president delivered speech at the program. Mohammed Firoz, Indian Social Forum  President, Jubail read the preamble of constitution. 

 Nameer Kerala , Secretary, Social Forum Central Committee welcomed guests while Ashraf Karnataka, General Secretary, Central Committee delivered vote of thanks and Tahir Hyderabad, Secretary, Indian Social Forum, Central Committee coordinated the program.
