Thumbay Group awards outstanding performers

Ajman: Thumbay Group UAE conducted an Award Ceremony to acknowledge outstanding performers from its staff across twelve sectors, on Friday, 16th October 2015 at Gulf Medical University campus, Ajman. Thumbay Group Founder President Mr. Thumbay Moideen was the Chief Guest of the function. Mr. Akbar Moideen Thumbay, Director of the Healthcare Division of Thumbay Group delivered the welcome speech. Members of the administrative staff and Thumbay Group employees participated in the function.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Thumbay Moideen said that Thumbay Group derived its strength from three factors: God’s Grace, the support and encouragement of the ruling family and various government departments, and a competent and loyal employee group. He thanked the employees for their efforts, and sought their continued endeavors in building ThumbayGroup as an iconic international brand in the future.

Mr. Thumbay Moideen handed over the awards to eighty-four sector-wise winners in the following categories:

1. STAR (Special Thanks & Recognition) was awarded to recognize an outstanding performance, commitment and to appreciate for going above and beyond the call of duty.

2. Always Accountable was awarded to recognize anemployee for displaying immense understanding of various implicit and explicit expectations of Thumbay Group.

3. Rising Star was awarded for breakthrough results by a new joiner to appreciate a personnel for engaging energetically in a new role and putting in an exceptional effort in an assigned role.

4. Best Team Member was awarded toan individual who exhibited a high degree of professionalism, displayed an attitude of excellence while carrying out duties and complex tasks with minimal direction.

5. Service Award (for long tenure) – was to appreciate an employee for displaying loyalty and engagement towards Thumbay Group and aligned all actions to Thumbay Group core values.

Fifteen awards of appreciation were also given away to the Directors and Managers of various Departments/Units. Mr. SurajPadmanabhan, Talent Acquisition Manager – HR Department of Thumbay Group delivered the vote of thanks. The event concluded with a grand buffet dinner.

Thumbay Group conducts the Award Ceremony annually, to acknowledge the services of its staff and to motivate them further. The Group’s workforce presently numbers over 3000, belonging to around 70 different nationalities.Another 3000+ is expected to be added to the workforce, once ongoing projects are completed.

Dammam: President of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Mr.Wasim Rabbani urged immediate intervention of Indian government to help Non Residential Indians who are in trouble due to corona pandemic in Saudi Arabia.

He said in a press rease that expatriate Indians are in concern  as number of corona infected people and  deaths are increasing in danger level.

Hea said, "the Saudi health minister's statement a few days ago indicates that the situation in Saudi needs to be taken more seriously with precautionary methods. There are concerns among expatriates because the number of people infected with the coronavirus and the number of deaths reported in various provinces are increasing at an alarming rate."

"Saudi Government and Health Ministry are taking excellent precautionary measures, however, in the coming days expect to see the number of cases to increase in Saudi Arabia. The Indian government needs to take diplomatic and immediate intervention to ensure the treatment of Indian expatriates considering the number of effected people increasing", He said.

He also urged that the Embassy and the Government of India should ensure qaurantiane faculty for Indian expatriates and arrange special low cost flights to bring back expatriates who would like to return home country.

" Government of India and Indian embassy need to intervene immediately to ensure that the quarantine system is in place for Indian expatriates as the facilities in the rooms where the residents are staying together are very limited. There should also be a mechanism to organize low-cost flight services for expatriates who are ready to go home. The government system should also be able to accommodate the expatriates in special quarantine areas in hometown as soon they arrive in India", he urged.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

The Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Bahrain, has charted aircrafts to repatriate stranded expatriates to India. 

Boby Parayil, General Secretary, OICC National Committee, Bahrain has thanked all those who supported in this cause.

“The aircrafts were not licensed and were in crisis until the last minute. Finally, Mohammed Mansoor, president of Bahrain chapter of Indian Overseas Congress approached IOC Middle East in charge Dr Arathi Krishna, who helped get permission to operate flight to Kozhikode,” he said in a release. 

All mandatory approvals from the Foreign Ministry of Affairs and other government officials were accomplished by Dr Arathi Krishna. OICC has expressed gratitude to her for her timely support, he said. 

OICC is also grateful to former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy for doing necessary arrangements to get all the approvals for flight landing in Kerala, he added.
