Mysuru Mar 16: A six year-old Tiger was found dead at Nagarahole National Park on Saturday.
Forest officials said the carcas of the big cat was found by the officials this evening and suspected to have died three days back while fighting with another tiger. There was scratches on the body of the tiger.
The reason for the death will be known only after the postmortem which will be conducted tomorrow.
Tumakuru, Jun 20: An SSLC student of Siddaganga Mutt here was admitted to the isolation ward of the district hospital on Saturday after he showed Covid-19 symptoms.
Health officials said that the student, a native of the Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, had returned to the Mutt via Raichur on June 15 for writing the SSLC examination scheduled to begin on June 25.
After he was admitted to the hospital the Health Department Officials kept three of his roommates under quarantine. Throat swab sample of the student has also been sent for testing.
Mandya, Jul 6: With a journalist from Srirangapatna testing positive for Covid-19, the Mandya District Journalists Association was sealed as a precautionary measure.
Association President K C Manjunath said on Monday that as the reporter has tested positive for Covid-19, it was voluntarily decided to seal down the premises for another month.
Mangaluru, July 14: Melkar Women's PU college has achieved excellent pass percentage in II PUC examinations, the results of which were announced today.
As many as 140 students of the college had appeared for second PU board exam 2020 this year. The college secured 95% results in the current academic year.
Among them 24 students passed with distinction and 94 with with first class marks.
Fathima Nisha (558 in Arts),
Zaithunnisa (561 in commerce) and Zainaba ifrath (545 in science) are the toppers of respective sections in the college.
