Uphold the value of brotherhood: U T Khader in Doha Beary Sammelan

Doha, Mar 1: Karnataka Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader who was in Qatar for the inauguration of Beary Sammelan kept the pack jam crowd with his touching speech appealing the community to uphold the values of all the religion, culture and dignity of all members in the society.

The Minister appreciated all the Tulu forums from coastal Karnataka at Qatar for their love and affection and unity they have maintained in the oil rich country of Qatar.

South Canara Muslim Welfare Association an affiliated forum hailing members from coastal Karnataka from Beary community had invited the Minister for the inauguration of “Beary’s  Sammelana” at Al-Maha School on 28th February.

The function started with verses of Holy Quran by Mushfer. MC Mr. Sahil Zaheer invited all the guests to the dais. Mr. Badruddin, KPCC member, Mr. Kasim from Hidaya Foundation, Mr. Mohammed Asif, chairman of coastaldigest, Mr. Abdulla Mono, Advisory board SKMWA,  Mr. Abdul Majeed, President of SKMWA and all the Managing Committee members were president at the dias.

Mr. Kasim of Hidaya Foundation spoke at this occasion and highlighted the ongoing projects of Hidaya Foundation a charitable organization.

Felicitation was done to the champions of SKMWA Kabaddi team at the occasion from Head of organization from various forums at Qatar. Earlier Mr. Kasim delivered the opening address from Beary language. Mr. Adbul Majeed welcomed the gathering, Mr. Adbulla Mono delivered the brief introduction of Beary Sammelana, Mr. Mohammed Shameem read the profile of Mr. UT Khader while Mr. Suheb proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Mohammed Iqbal who came all the way from Mangalore entertained the audience with Beary songs and lovely numbers of Mohammed Rafi and others regional songs.  Prominent members from Indian community Mr. Ravi Shetty, Mr. Deepak Shetty, Mr. Niyaz Ahmed, Mr. M. Iqbal Manna, Mr. Seetharam Shetty,   Mr. Ashmath Ali and several members attended the function.  Main sponsor of the events Euro parts and Transport, and  City Center Udupi, co-sponsors  Hamad Car Repairing Center, Globtech Engineering, Satthar Montepadav, Rastech, Ibrahim Byari. Dinner was served at last. Other than the Minister, felicitation was also done to Mr. Badruddin, KPCC member, Mr. Mohammed Asif, Chariman, coastal digest.com, Mr. Kasim of Hidaya Foundation.

Earlier the Minister was felicitated by Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association (KMCA) at Royal Gardens . The Minister spoke and appreciated the community members for the love/affection towards their people and the unity with every community members. Mr. Hasan Chougle, Mr. Saeed Assadi welcomed the gathering, Mr. Saquib Raza Khan read the brief profile introduction of the visiting Honorable Minister Mr. UT Khader and Mr. Ibraz Khan proposed vote of thanks. Prominent Indian Community Leader, Mr. Niyaz Ahmed, President of KMCA was also present in the dais.

Prominent community leaders Mr. M. Ravi Shetty, Mr. Divakar Poojary, Mr. Seetharam Shetty, Mr. Abdul Majeed, Mr. Ashmathi Ali, Mr. Syed Abdul Hye, Mr. M.I Farid and several dignities attend the function.

The Minister later visited to Layans Garden where he is was jointly felicitated by Tulu Koota Qatar, Bunts Qatar, MCC and Qatar Billawas. Mr. Seetharam Shetty, President of Tulu Koota Qatar welcomed the gathering, Mr. Divakar Poojary , President of Qatar Billawas  gave the brief introduction of the Minister, Mr. Sunil , President of MCC proposed vote of thanks while the President of Bunts Qatar Mr. M. Ravi Shetty for the MC of the event.

The Minister later rushed to Karnataka Sangha Qatar for the prize distribution of the ongoing Badminton Tournament hosted by Karnataka Sangha Qatar. Mr. Deepak Shetty, President of Karnataka Sangha Qatar welcomed the gather and thanked the Honorable Minister for taking time to visit the sports event.

Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) once again set an example that no caste, creed, language and religion comes as hurdle for their humanitarian services and helped to perform last rites of Ramesh who committed suicide in Doha-Qatar.

45-year-old Ramesh son of K. Nagan hailing from Panikulam, Thrissur district in Kerala, who was working as a tailor committed suicide in his house at Ruwias in Qatar on 30th May 2020.

On hearing this news, some of his friends in Kearla informed Mr. Shihab who is also from Thrissur and a member of QISF and the same was brought to the notice of QISF humanitarian team head Mr. Abdul Latheef Madikeri and Basheer Ahmed of Tamil Nadu.

Immediately, the QISF team intervened and contacted the family members of the deceased in India and discussed the matter and consequences of sending the body back home to India in this pandemic COVID 19 situation.

Considering the prevailing situation, the family members gave the consent to bury the body in Qatar itself.

QISF team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation.

Finally, the body of the deceased was buried in Qatar on 7th June 2020 and the copies of all the relevant documents have been handed over to the family members.

The family members of the deceased thanked and applauded the leaders and all the members of QISF for their effective and on time humanitarian service rendered even in this pandemic crisis and having no bias.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.
