Woman kills minor daughter to frame paramour

July 15, 2014

strangledBilaspur, Jul 15: A 25-year-old woman and her male friend were arrested for allegedly killing her minor daughter in order to falsely implicate her paramour in the crime in Chhattisgarh, police said on Monday.

The six-year-old girl was strangled allegedly by her mother Anis with the help of her friend Sonu Khan in Bilaspur town, Superintendent of Police BN Meena said.

During interrogation, the woman admitted to committing the crime to frame her paramour Narayan Parkar, who had refused to tie the knot with her since he was already married, in the case, he said. Anis lodged a complaint with Sirgitti police station here on July 10 stating her daughter had been kidnapped by Parkar following which an investigation was launched.

The next day, the body of a girl was found on roadside in neighbouring Mungeli district, and it was identified as that of Anis' daughter, he said.

Based on the complaint, Parkar was taken into custody. During questioning Parkar told the police he was at his in- laws' place in Kawardha on the day of incident. After this police questioned Anis, who spilled the beans.

As per her statement, Anis and her husband Pili Masih started living separately after differences cropped up between them. Meanwhile, she fell in love with Parkar and insisted on marriage. When Parkar refused, she filed a rape case against him a few weeks ago following which he was arrested.

Parkar was released on bail on July 7.

Anis then hatched a plan along with Khan to murder her daughter and put the blame on Parkar, the SP said. The duo killed the girl and dumped her body at a spot off the Bilaspur-Mungeli Road. The true story of the case came to light when Anis and Khan were arrested and thoroughly questioned, he added.
