Kasaragod, Jun 28: The State Cabinet has given green signal to set up a yoga and naturopathy post-graduate institute in 15 acres at Karindalam, near Neeleshwaram.
The institute, proposed to be set up on leased land, is planned as a 100-bed hospital complex, an official release said here on Wednesday.
The institute is being set up by the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, it said.
The Cabinet also sanctioned a new police station at Melparamba near here.
Bengaluru, Apr 6: Popular Kannada comedy actor Prakash, popularly known as Bullet Prakash in the film industry, died due to multi-organ failure at a private hospital in the City on Monday.
He was 44.
He is survived by wife, one son and a daughter.
Mandya, Apr 3: Following the lock down in the country, people habit ventured into Liquor bottles worth several lakhs of rupees have been stolen at two places in the district.
Miscreants targeted a wine store at Chikka Mandya on the outskirts of the town in the early hours and also made away with the stock from a wine store near Hadly Circle in Malavalli town late night on Thursday. The incidents came to light on Friday.
A window was broken open at Chikka Mandya store and a wall was drilled at Malavalli store to take away the cartons, the police said.
