The complaint was lodged at the High Grounds police station here by Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC) members on Wednesday.

In the complaint, Umesh Boregowda, KPYCC general secretary, said the statements made by Simha are insensitive and an insult to martyrs.

The High Grounds police have taken up a complaint and sent it to the legal cell of their department for an opinion, based on which action would be taken, said a senior police officer.

Nothing will going to happen, just wastage of some paper, ink, time that's all. He is backed by RSS and their affiliated groups, investigation agency and judiciary controlled by them! 70% present media already sold out for present central government for 5 years!

Bengaluru, Jul 13: In an attempt to avoid the ugly scene of migrant workers walking to their native places due to the current week-long lockdown imposed in the state, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is running 1,600 additional buses on Monday and Tuesday to help them return safely.

The KSRTC has already run 249 additional buses from the State capital and has so far ferried 6,641 passengers and 231 buses have been booked.

The KSRTC appealed to the public not to panic as additional buses have been deployed. "After ensuring social distance and conducting thermal screening, passengers will be allowed to travel. It has already been planned to operate additional buses," the corporation stated in a press release here.

Mangaluru, Jun 11: City police on Thursday filed a 700-page chargesheet in connection with the arrest of Aditya Rao, 36, accused of planting an IED at Mangaluru International Airport on January 20.

The chargesheet said the bag placed near MIA entrance had a real bomb, as per the FSL report. The IED in the tin box was made of sulphur, ammonium nitrate, potassium chlorate and charcoal.

Rao, an engineer, who learnt bomb-making through online videos, had also placed a timer along with it and sharp objects such as nails and metals. However, he had not fixed wires to trigger a blast. “His intention was not to cause a blast but only to create a scare,” said sources.

The bomb was made in less than two weeks. However, it had taken Rao several days to procure raw materials. Police had completed the chargesheet process in April.
