Chikkamagaluru, Dec 24: When two thieves tried to take a calf away from Koppa bus station in Chikkamagaluru district, the ‘mother cow’ rushed to the spot and saved it by chasing the miscreants away.

The rare incident was recorded by a nearby CCTV camera and the video footage is going viral on social media.

The cops said that neither the number of the vehicle nor the faces of thieves are clear in the footage. It only shows two men trying to tie the calf’s legs. Within a few seconds, its mother chases both thieves who flee in their SUV.

The cow is seen chasing the vehicle for some distance. Residents said for the past few days, thieves have been prowling in the area and despite police surveillance, thieves are trying to steal cows.
