In Mangaluru Rajnath hits out at Pakistan

Mangaluru, Mar 9: Union Home Minister Rajanath Singh on Saturday said Pakistan will have to pay a heavy price if it continued to encourage, promote and shelter terrorists.

After inaugurating a convention of the Shakti Kendra Pramukhs of three Lok Sabha constituencies (Dakshina Kannada, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru and Shivamogga) here, Mr Rajnath Singh said so far country has carried out three strikes against Pakistan in the last five years and everyone knew about the impact of two strikes. "We cannot say much about the third strike," he said, adding that the third strike (Balakot) was a targeted mission and was carried out on specific intelligence input.

Referring to some incidents in some parts of the country, targeting the Kashmiri youths, he said that "in this connection the Union Government has already issued an advisory to all state and union territories to safeguard Kashmiri students studying all over India".
He appealed to BJP workers to stand by the Kashmiri students.

He termed the coalition government in Karnataka as khichri government where welfare of the people has taken a backseat.

"The JD (S) leaders are busy protecting their own chairs," he said. 

By 2028 India will be one of the three powerful countries of the world; he predicted Predicting that the BJP would emerge as the single largest party in the world, he said that everyone in the state had contributed to strengthen the organisaiton.

"At present US, China and Russia are the top three powerful nations but by 2028, India will enter into the league of top powerful nations.

Chikkamagaluru, June 6: The Chikkamagaluru district has become free from confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The last two of the 16 covid patients in the district were discharged today after they were treated and tested negative.

P 2765, a 28-year-old man and P 2766, a 38-year-old man were discharged, said Deputy Commissioner Dr Bagadi Gautham. Nine others were discharged from hospital yesterday.

Till May 22, Chikkamagaluru district had not recorded any positive and had remained a green zone till then.

However, with the influx of stranded people from Maharashtra and Delhi, the district had registered 16 covid positive cases.

 “As on today, there are no active covid-19 cases in the district. However, we should be attentive and take all the precautionary measurers,” the DC said.

The officer has appealed to the public to maintain social distancing in public places and wear masks.

Udupi/Mangaluru, Mar 1: A total of twenty leaplings were born in the hospitals of the Udupi and Dakshina Kannada (DK) districts on Saturday, February 29, district health department said on Sunday.

According to the district health department, sixteen babies were born in DK district while Udupi district saw four births. More boys than girls were born in DK (12–4) and it was the inverse in Udupi district (3–1).

Bhopal, Mar 12: Madhya Pradesh Congress on Thursday alleged that two of its ministers who had gone to Bengaluru to meet the rebel party legislators were assaulted.

"Two of our ministers Jitu Patwari and Lakhan Singh had gone to Bengaluru. They were assaulted, we have info that our ministers have been arrested," Madhya Pradesh Congress leader said during a press conference.

Congress further warned that if the police don't take action, the party will take it to the court.

Some of the rebel MLAs had said in a video on Wednesday that they were in Bengaluru out of their own will.

The rebel MLAs have been staying in Bengaluru over the past few days.
