Under-19 and Under-16 cricketers selected for KSCA Academy coaching

Mangalore, April 6: Karnataka State Cricket Association Mangalore Zone has announced the list of Under-19 and Under-16 players selected for the KSCA Academy coaching camps.

The camps are scheduled to be held simultaneously in Mangalore, Manipal, Madikeri and Gonikoppa from April 9.

In Madikeri and Gonikoppa, more players will be selected before the start of the camp, a KSCA spokesperson said.

Many players could not attend the selection trials due to examinations in these areas.

Mangaluru Jun 18: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, June 18, reported 23 fresh covid-19 cases, taking the total number of the cases detected in the district to 401.  

Among the 23 corona-positive patients, there are 21 males and two females. 

21 are Saudi returnees, while the other two have contracted infection from P-6618.

No cases were reported in Udupi district on Thursday.

The total number of cases in Udupi is 1,039, with only 92 cases being currently active. As many as 946 patients including 38 on Thursday who recovered have been discharged from hospital.

Kasaragod, Mar 23: With 19 more positive cases reported on Monday, surveillance against people coming out of their houses and wandering around in public places has been intensified in the district.

With today's addition, the total number of positive cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has increased to 38 in Kasaragod.

There will be total restriction in place for the public to step out of their houses. Those who are found outside on the streets would be arrested, caution the district authorities. Please log in to get detailed story.

Bengaluru, Apr 16: In order to bring uniform act for all universities in the state under the Karnataka University Act 2017, the state government formed a committee in this connection.

As per the instruction of deputy chief minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan, higher education department has issued an order to form a committee under the chairmanship of R Vasudeva Athre.

The other members are former Bengaluru university Vice-Chancellor Prof B Thimmegoda, IIT Bengaluru director Prof Sadagopan, Srusti institute of arts and design technology Geetha Narayan Srusti, centre of educational and social studies president Dr M K Sridhat and state higher education parishad Executive Director Dr M S Kori, co-member of the committee.
