Mangaluru, Nov 16: In a good Samaritan gesture, an Indian Entrepreneur based in Abu Dhabi, had donated rupees 15 lakhs for construction of shelter for the newly born five tiger cubs at the Pilikula Biological Park, here on Friday.
According to official sources, Ramadas Kamath and his wife Jayashri Kamath, having their businesses in Abu Dhabi, had donated funds towards providing shelter to the newly born five tiger cubs in Pilikula Biological park located in the outskirts of the city.
Bengaluru, Mar 14: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Saturday suspended its proposed Akil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) meeting scheduled to be held in the outskirts of the city, in the wake of the outbreak of Coronavirus in the state.
'In view of the seriousness of the pandemic COVID-19 and in the light of instructions and advisories thereof issues by the Union and the state governments, the Akil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha meeting scheduled in Bengaluru has been suspended', Sarakaryavah Suresh Joshi tweeted.
All Swayamsevaks should cooperate with the administrations to create awareness among the public and to face this successfully, he said.
It may be recalled that Karnataka State Government had ordered shut down of pubs, malls, theatres, and ban mass gatherings over the Coronavirus scare, on Friday.

Mangaluru, Apr 15: For the convenience of the public during the lockdown period, the Department of Posts has been providing essential services to the public at its various branch offices which are functioning from 1000 hrs to 1400 hrs.
Medicines and other essential items can be sent via parcel from any town to any place in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
Arrangements are also being made to extend this facility to nearby districts. In case of sending medicines and other essentials to other states from Mangaluru, the transportation has to be done via Bengaluru and can be expedited if a request for urgency is made, says a press release from the Senior Superintendent of Posts of Mangaluru Division on Wednesday.
Mangaluru, Jul 16: Streets in Mangaluru wore a deserted look as the city woke up to the first morning of the seven-day lockdown on Thursday.
The lockdown is being observed after the state government announced it as a necessary step to combat the spread of COVID-19.
The week-long total shutdown came into effect in the Karnataka's Dakshina Kannada district from 8 pm on July 15 till 5 am on July 22.
The state government allowed relaxation between 8am to 11 am for purchasing of essential commodities. A slight rush was observed during the hours of the relaxation.
Karnataka has so far reported 47,253 positive COVID-19 cases, including 27,859 active cases and 18,466 recoveries.
So far, 928 people have lost their lives due to the infectious virus in the state.

yes. i have seen many. sitting only in workplace and home wont give that kind of scenes. u should visit jungle. atleastu shud watch animal planet or discovery channel. we, human being wont help them and we used to hunt them also.
