Bengaluru, Jun 21: In a sudden development after the recent Cabinet reshuffle in Karnataka, UT Khader has been reportedly shifted from the Ministry of Health and Family Affairs to the Ministry of Food and Civil Supplies.

1utkhaderThe decision was taken by chief minister Siddaramiah, who was looking for a competent and active minister to handle the department of Food and Civil Supplies, after the departure of Dinesh Gundu Rao.

According to the Congress party sources, Mr. Rao was dropped from the ministry so that his services could be drafted to organise the party in the light of 2018 Assembly polls.

The CM meanwhile, has reportedly urged Mr Khader, who had topped a series of surveys conducted by various news agencies to assess the performance of ministers the state, to introduce much awaited reforms in the food department.

Sources claimed that Ramesh Kumar, who was newly inducted into Cabinet, will succeeed Mr Khader as the Minister for Health and Family Affairs.

Byre Gowda, Patil Cabinet ministers

Meanwhile, Mr Siddaramaiah elevated Krishna Byre Gowda and Sharan Prakash Patil as Cabinet rank ministers. So far, they were ministers of state for agriculture and medical education respectively.

With Vokkaligas unhappy over not getting berths in the reshuffle, it seems Siddaramaiah has adopted appeasing tactics by making Gowda a Cabinet minister.

Patil, a Lingayat MLA from Sedam of Kalaburagi, is a known close associate Mallikarjun Kharge, MP. A proposal to make them Cabinet ministers went from the government to the Governor on June 18. A notification making the changes was issued on Monday.

I am a APL card holder. When we get ration coupons, in coupons for APL 5 kg rice and 5 kg wheat. When we go to ration shop if we say i do not want wheat only 5 kg rice they do not give. They says if you want rice you should take wheat also. Other wise change in your coupon for rice only. But we can not change only rice.

Kindly tell what is the procedure for only rice and no wheat for me.

Sir,
There is shortage of Non subsidised Commercial L.P.Gas cylinder of 19 Kg capacity in the market as HPCL has stopped giving new cylinders to the dealers since past 6 months.

The reason stated is that the turnaround ratio is less than 1 per month.

It is very surprising stand in the open market regime and HPCL has no ground to take such decision in general. The new release is stopped to those dealers who has more than 1 turnaround per month.

Black marketing of commercial cylinders is now a reality. Thanks to HPCL !!!

You are requested to appraise our food minister to manage this issue and oblige.
Regards

Rikaz

Bengaluru, May 11: Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy on Monday asked Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa to urge PM Narendra Modi to give a 'COVID Package' to Karnataka.

In a series of tweets, Kumaraswamy said that Yediyurappa should raise the demand during the course of the meeting scheduled to be held today with the PM, which will also be attended by Chief Ministers of other states.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks with CMs from different states on coronavirus control and lockdown today. The state's CM BS Yediyurappa will also be in it. At this meeting, BSY should urge Modi to offer a 'COVID Package' to the state," Kumaraswamy's tweet, roughly translated in English from Kannada, read.

In subsequent tweets, the JDS leader said that, "The central government has set up a PM Cares Fund for the fight against Corona. As MPs, entrepreneurs and citizens have made generous donations. BSY must convince Modi that the state has not received adequate financial support from the Center so far."

He further said that the package could be utilised for "medical procedures", "financial compensation for the affected people."

Kumaraswamy also said that "In addition to the 'COVID Package', other dues from the Center, including GST dues, flood relief, etc should also be asked for by BS Yediyurappa at the meeting with Modi."

PM Narendra Modi will hold a meeting, through video conference, with state Chief Ministers on Monday at 3 pm to discuss the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country.

The Prime Minister had earlier interacted with Chief Ministers four times over the COVID-19 situation via video conferencing.

The upcoming interaction comes days ahead of the scheduled ending of the nationwide lockdown.

The ongoing lockdown, which was imposed to contain the spread of coronavirus, is scheduled to end on May 17.

Bengaluru, Feb 25: A day after Karnataka minister BC Patil felt the need for a law to shoot people who raise pro-Pakistan and anti-India slogans, another BJP MLA on Monday said such people should be shot at sight or exiled to the neighbouring country.

Appachu Ranjan, MLA from Madikeri, said a woman named Amulya had raised Pakistan Zindabad slogan at Bengaluru during a CAA-related meeting.

"People saying Pakistan Zindabad, despite living in our country- eating food and drinking water available here- they should be shot at sight. Or else such people should be exiled to Pakistan, and no one should should show softness towards them and fight cases in their favour," he said at Somwarpet in Kodagu.

Amulya Leona, a woman who raised pro-Pakistan slogans at an anti-Citizenship Amendment Act rally in Bengaluru on Thursday, has been booked for sedition and remanded to judicial custody.

She had raised "Pakistan Zindabad" slogans thrice after the organisers, under the banner of "Save the Constitution", invited her to address the gathering in the presence of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi.

Agriculture minister Patil on Sunday had expressed the need for a legislation to shoot such people, and said he would make a request to the prime minister in this regard. "A law should be brought in the country that who ever raises slogans against India and in favour of Pakistan, they should be shot at sight. Bringing such a law is important," Patil had said.

The Himachal Pradesh police have confirmed the arrested a man for injuring a pregnant cow by feeding her wheat flour ball laced with firecrackers.

The cow’s jaw was blown off-- reprising the tragic story of a pregnant elephant that lost its life after eating a pineapple stuffed with a firecracker in Kerala.

While the incident took place on May 26 in Jhandutta area of Himachal Pradesh’s Bilaspur district, it came to light only on Saturday, May 6, when the cow’s owner, Gurdayal Singh, uploaded a video of the injured animal on social media.

In the video, Gurdiyal Singh describes how the cow’s mouth had been injured after one Nandlal fed her explosives.

He confirmed that Nandlal works as a mechanic in Singh’s neighbourhood. Singh said that Nandlal has no remorse for his action. Nandlal has said that he is not scared of the repercussions and that he will continue to do whatever he deems fit. “Even the village sarpanch cannot harm me”, challenged Nandlal when confronted by Singh.

The cow has given birth to a healthy calf since but Singh said the animal is still not able to eat because of an injured jaw and is being administered Glucose.

The video went viral with people demanding strict action against the person who fed firecrackers to the animal.

The practice of studding dough balls with firecrackers isn’t uncommon in Himachal, and farmers resort to this to keep wild animals, especially boards, off their fields. In the Kerala incident too, the explosive-filled-fruit was meant for wild boars. In many parts of the country, including Himachal, the method is also used to hunt for bush meat -- an illegal practice.

Bilaspur superintendent of oolice (SP) Devakar Sharma confirmed the incident and said the cow was fed a highly explosive firecracker popularly called “aalu bomb”.

Aalu is Hindi for potato. He said a case under Section 286 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act has been registered and the role of the neighbours named by Singh is being investigated.

Someone needs to educate these disgusting Indian pigs. Religious? After what they do to women and animals? They are less than animals. A disgrace to their God and the human race. Sadly, officials are corrupt and those that aren't are powerless.
